Phenomenal office, staff, and dentist! I have been to numerous dentists, trying hard to find that perfect fit. LAT is it! From the moment I walked in the door, I was given a warm and inviting welcome by the amazing front office staff. During my entire visit there was no judgment, no brush off, no eye rolling, no looks of disgrace. Dr Thorn and Kimmy were compassionate, genuine, informative, supportive and transparent. I was treated like a human, not a dollar sign. Dr Thorn is knowledgeable and goes out of her way to make her patients comfortable. I can’t say enough about how well I was treated. It was the first time that I walked out of a dentist’s office feeling like I left a friend’s house.
There are many reasons why I am so pleased and impressed with this practice. Yes, its beautiful, spa-like/sparkling, everybody there is pleasant, professional, and service minded; but it is the ONLY dentist I've encountered (I've lived in 9 states, many cities in those states) with a comprehensive approach to my health (not just my mouth). They measured my BP, asked questions, and provided knowledgable feedback/advice on a range of topics not necessarily related to my mouth. I am, believe it or not, a whole person, not just a mouth. They also make it a point to ask in advance if you are interested in receiving this information or not. It is clear they truly care about the well being of their patients. I highly recommend this practice and am so happy to have found Dr. Thorn and her wonderful staff.
As someone with severe medical anxiety-even leaving this review is difficult- I’m filling this out because it’s something that would have helped me get seen sooner. It has taken me 6 years to finally build up the courage to open my mind (and mouth) to just come in. I want to share the amazing experience that appears to be standard care at this practice. Upon entering I was first greeted by a welcoming plant wall that immediately helped my guard go down a bit, followed by some bright smiles. I was given a tour of the facility and given an overview of practices that are in place that prioritize patient care and comfort-that really work. I also love how personal everyone is and how it didn’t feel so “clinicky”. They also were able to address all my concerns and create a treatment plan that works for me. Another bonus was the medical forms-which I dread. They were actually super easy to fill out and only took me about 10 minutes. Thank you LAT fam for making this-not only easy, but-an enjoyable experience. nez
This is a PTSD-friendly dental practice! As someone with PTSD, I am often triggered in dental visits, especially when a filling or other more intensive work is needed. The approach and practices at LAT dentistry does a lot to mitigate potential triggers by creating a safe and supportive space and approach to care. They offer physical supports - such as weighted blanket, heated massage chair. The staff and Dr. Thorn offer clear explanations about what they are doing and why. They will walk you through their plan of care and reasons for it. They suggest options of care, without pushing or overly encouraging. They also are up to date on best practices, less invasive measures for dental care. LAT dentistry is an incredible thoughtful and intentional dental office, in every step of the care they offer. I highly recommend them!
Just wow! What a great experience going to the dentist. Lyndsey the hygienist was excellent in her approach and was very professional. I think Lindsay the dentist has always been special but now even more so. The people up front could not have been nicer. Professionally I felt seen and heard and the cleaning and inspection was top notch. Thank you for a great experience.
