I went in to see them bc I was having pain on a certain tooth. All they did was refer me to a specialist Dr. Sutton who I am VERY familiar with and have seen many many times. He is an absolutely excellent Doctor. But Dr Casey leavitt recommended a crown on my tooth. I went in to see Dr. Sutton whos office did a 3d scan of my tooth and a very detailed comprehensive oral exam. Found that there was only a very very small pocket of infection. And asked if Dr. Leavitt prescribed me any antibiotics to prevent further infection of the tooth and I said no and he said they shuld have prescribed u antibiotics. And Dr. Sutton showed me the picture of the 3d scan explaining everything very thoroughly for me to understand. He did waaaaay more then Dr leavitt did and he said I am not even going to charge u for today's visit bc if u do have to come back for that tooth it's going to completely tap out ur insurance plus a heck of allot more I'd have to pay to. So moving forward literally 4 months later I call Dr leavitts office and request a simple cleaning and some fillings and Arial was the one I first spoke to and she said u need a crown thats what it says on the notes and I'm like no I do not need a crown that was 4 months ago. And I proceeded to tell her what Dr Sutton had told me and all she said was "ok" and then I was like okay u just said ok and didn't say anything else and then she literally laughed at me so then I said plz transfer me to a diff rep I do not appreciate ur attitude towards me so she did and Sherrie then picked up and all she did was make excuses for Arials behavior and didn't even apologize to me for how I was treated. So then moving forward I tried to schedule an apt for a simple cleaning and some fillings and they were booked TWO MONTHS out. So I called around to other dentist offices in town that except my insurance and got in touch with portneuf valley dentistry which in the end is a complete blessing in disguise and I am SOOO GLAD I did not end up going to leavitt dentistry bc my experience at portneuf valley dentistry was seriously the best experience I've EVER had going to any dentist my whole life. Starting with the office rep who was super helpful and kind then the dental hygienist Hailey who did the most fantastic job on my cleaning and setting everything up for the Doctor. I think his name is doctor Barlow I can't remember but he's the dentist at portneuf valley dentistry and he is the kindest most respectful dentist I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. So imo I would not go to Dr leavitt dentistry bc starting with the phone reps who are not very knowledgeable and only make excuses for one another's behavior and do not what so ever listen to the patient nor have any respect for the patient either and then moving to the dentist Dr leavitt whos recommendation was WAAAAY off and did not give me any antibiotics at all when he should have. I mean do u know how much a crown costs? It's extremely expensive. All he did was refer me to Dr Sutton who did waaaaay more then Dr leavitt did and didn't even charge me for the visit. I wuld go to Portneuf valley dentistry bc u will be treated with respect by knowledgeable workers who actually know what they are talking about. I mean even at the end the office rep asked me "how was ur visit?" I've never been asked that at the end of any dentist apt I've ever gone to. All they usually do at the end is give u ur bill. Go to Portneuf valley dentistry not leavitt dentistry.
