My sons had his initial appointment on February 19, 2025. He was to be scheduled for surgery shortly thereafter. But we were told that Dr. Hicks broke his hand and was unable to perform any surgeries. At that time, the office staff informed me that they would contact me to reschedule once Dr. Hicks was cleared to perform surgeries again. It has now been a full year, and I have not received any communication whatsoever from the Asheville office. I am honestly not to surprised by that. However, it does make me a bit mad that this office doesn't take better care of it's patients. While we have had excellent experiences with Dr. Hicks in the past at the Morganton location, the lack of follow-up and organization at the Asheville office is very terrible. If my son's insurance would allow me to go to another dental office I would. However at this rate I maybe making an appointment in the Morganton office as they are more professional with better manners.
Been trying for 6 months to get an appointment. The one appointment we had for December they called and canceled it in October and never called back to reschedule. Was told they only have a provider 3 days a month. Then was told if I wanted to come in another day this week but said it could be April before the surgery. Office staff is not very nice either.
Never received appointment confirmation even though I had explicitly asked them to. Also they never called to inform they had no dental hygienist so they couldn’t fulfill the purpose of my appointment that I scheduled FOUR months prior. I am a college student who doesn’t have time to run around with an incompetent office. They said they’d call again in early January to reschedule the first appointment… It is early January and I don’t think I’m ever getting that call.
I went to a prosthodontist went and seen them give them all the hard drive and what was on it and the disc and now they won't send it back to me and they said one thing and done something else nothing for me it would be nice if you'd send back my 3D image and everything else that you received from me I took it all way to Morganton and I still haven't received it and ask nicely but I'm going to send it back and mail it
I would like to thank Shane for his kindness and all his help in getting my granddaughter in this office as quick as possible to see Dr. Hicks. She was in terrible pain and had terrible infection in 8 of her jaw teeth which had to be extracted. We both are so grateful to everyone for thier kindness. She is doing great since her surgery and removal of those teeth.
