Dr. Mesdag and his crew were amazing. Kim at the front desk starts the whole process off with a great introduction to the office and makes you feel very welcome and cared for. My son was referred here and I am so thankful for the care and service we received. I did not get his helpers name, but she was also great with distracting my son from the procedure by engaging with him about his interests and asking hm questions. It was nice to see a little smile here and there for something he was so nervous about. The office worked together so flawlessly which was really nice to see. They really kept us informed (before, during, and after the procedure) and made themselves available for the care my son needed while he was in pain. THANK YOU to this whole office. You three were great and we really appreciate you all!
I’m a dental hygienist who has lived in bigger communities before coming to Juneau. So this comes from someone who has seen a lot of endodontic work in my career and as a patient who has needed it! Dr Mesdag is as good as they come. His clinical skills and consideration for current research/methods is extremely high. He would be top dog in any big city across the US. We are incredibly lucky to have him here.
Dr. Mesdag is one of the most skilled and professional endodontists I have met in my career. This is the endodontist that endodontists go to for their care. We are extremely lucky to have him here in SE Alaska.
DR M saved my tooth with a root canal. The equipment he uses is pretty high tech, and the technique is quick and painless and effective. Root canals are his specialty I think. He does a great job.
First and foremost, Dr. Mesdag's treatment was top notch!! My opinion of how the office staff communicates any billing issues is not as great. I asked at the very start how much the treatment would cost and what I was told was NOT the case. Furthermore, I only find it fair to inform Premera BCBS insurance holders that Dr. Mesdag is NOT in network, even though the Premera web site states such. You WILL be balanced billed any amount above and beyond the usual and customary costs. Again, with that being said, if I would have been told the billing facts upfront, this would be a five star review, as Dr. Mesdag is the best I have seen to date!!!
