Extremely terrible communication all around. Our orthodontist recommended Dr MacCarthy. Our first consultation was supposed to be discussion of oral surgery. The only discussion that took place was questions that I asked. We confirmed wisdom teeth needed to be removed before surgery. We followed through with that. No pain meds were prescribed. My daughter had a bone bleed and 4 impacted teeth. Had to call in a prescription. After taking the meds, her Extreme Pain subsided drastically. We returned for a work up oral surgery appointment. STILL no proper information shared. I was told to bring $2,000 which I paid before this horrible appointment. No explanation as to why the work up did not take place, except some horrible analogy like, putting wedding topper on a cake when the cakes not ready. ? I called the following Monday. MacCarthy had gone on vacation. When he returned, they did mail me a check for my $2,000. We, in turn, went to Boston Children’s Hospital. 100 times more professional. Molds taken. My daughter is finally making progress towards surgery. PROPER incision explanation took place in Waltham.
I was referred to this practice by my dentist. I was a nervous wreck from the minute I walked in. There is a lot going on there. I seriously wanted to run out the door, lol...but I didn't. From the moment Dr. Killian MacCarthy walked into the room he put me at ease with his soft tone and reassuring attitude. I left without doing a procedure, a wait and see approach which was all good by me. I really liked Dr.MacCarthy.
Horrible communication from Dr Killan macCarthy and I'm honestly not sure that he's the right person to be in the medical field, The procedure started off in a odd manner with him throwing the nitrous on me before I even knew I was going on nitrous, then proceeds to say oops I forgot to have you sign this, sign it, truthfully I don't feel he has the communication skills to be in his position, I appreciate him removing my teeth however I wouldn't recommend him
