I was referred to Manke by my home town dentist when I moved to Grand Forks! I've really enjoyed them, they are very kind and personable, and they do a great job taking care of me. They use the latest technology, I've benefited from their water pick for cleanings and mouth imaging for a night guard. I highly recommend them!

Annie might just be the greatest dental hygienist on the planet. I have gone to many different clinics in my years, and I can confidently say she has the personal touch that truly shows that she cares about you, as well as her profession.

I never in my life have had such a terrible experience at a dentist with a dental hygienist! When the receptionist contacted me to confirm my appointment, I asked if I could also get scans of my teeth done for replacement of my Invisalign nighttime retainers while I was there, she told me yes and said to come 10 minutes earlier, at 11:50 instead of 12. I was there at 11:42. I was called back at right about 12. When I went back to the room and sat in the chair, the hygienist asked me if my retainers were doing better since I came and got them fixed, I said, I didn’t come and get my retainers fixed, but they did bond my lower bracket again where it came loose, but nothing with retainers and it’s been fine since it was fixed. I said speaking of retainers, I told the receptionist that I needed to get new scans of my teeth done to get a new set of retainers for Invisalign that I wear every night. The hygienist told me that she didn’t know if there would be time for that. I asked why not and told her I had it scheduled and it was already planned as I was told they could do it, just come in a few minutes earlier. She very rudely again said that she didn’t think there would be time to do it because they only have 2 hygienists working and 1 is at lunch. I was not happy or impressed with her attitude and how she was talking to me at all! She was very rude about it!! The hygienist told me that I was up for my panoramic X-rays, she asked if I was wearing a necklace or earrings. I said yes I am wearing earrings, she told me to take them out. I told her that I have in 6 and some of them are a pain to take out so I’ll just do the scan next time I come in. She got all upset saying well it’s supposed to be this time, I told her well next time I’ll be prepared for it and I can have them out before my appointment. She very rudely in a crappy attitude again, said “I guess you can do it next time.” She asked what flavor paste I wanted “cinnamon or mint” I said cinnamon. She said, “ok, mint.” I was so irritated I didn’t even want to say anything, at that point I really didn’t even care because I was so mad. At the time I was so upset, I was either going to get up and walk out or I just wanted to hurry up with things and get the heck out of there. When she was using the pick for my teeth, she asked how my sensitive spots were doing where I have pretty bad recession on my gums. I said I haven’t noticed it much lately, but I also haven’t been hurting those areas just right because then if I do, it hurts! The first one she hit with the pick, I made a face and kind of moaned that it hurt, my eyes started watering, then she went to some other teeth, then went back to the spot that hurt and is sensitive. She continued on with other teeth and eventually hit another one that is really sensitive and hurt. I made the same face and sound, she did the same thing and went back to it. She would be on a completely different side of my mouth and then randomly go back to just the spots that hurt. There was no way that was an accident when she was no where those specific teeth, it seemed very intentional, definitely not accidental, especially when it would happen over and over randomly the rest of the cleaning. When Mrs. Manke came in to check my teeth after the cleaning was over, the hygienist completely changed her whole attitude and how she talked to me and how she was acting!! It was like a completely different person! That right there, tells me it was intentional. That was even worse that she was only talking to me and treating me nice because the dentist was right there, but when she wasn’t around, it was terrible! I was so glad to be done. I have never felt so targeted and intentionally being treated rude and hurt with all the times I’ve been to the dentist in my life. I absolutely refuse to let this hygienist treat me, my husband or my children again, I have actually had the thought of switching dentists all together just because of the terrible experience and treatment!

Great experience! Dentist visits are very hit or miss for me with my health history but the new patient experience was excellent. Couldn't be a better fit.
