EXTREMELY Upset with McRae Dental. Ive been a customer for 10 plus years. I made a simple teeth cleaning 6 months ago and showed up for my appointment. I made personal arrangements to show up for my appointment and they told me that they removed me from the schedule due to not responding to a text message. I DID my part (made an appointment and showed up for my appointment), ridiculous you send your patient away for apparently not responding to a TEXT that was probably overlooked or never received. That is not a way to treat your customers. Now l have to make a decision if l want to try and change the norm and look for a different dentist or not.
No one told me that the Epps Bridge office was closed until I went up there. Then I came to the office at Trail Creek. I came to check on a filling that came out and as I'm asking for clarification of the charges because I'm on a budget. She rudely said I can go to another dentist to get a second opinion, basically saying pay or go somewhere else. Despite that I needed the procedure, so I got it. Then I come back to get a cleaning and they're charging more money but no one will explain why. New dentist here I come, I wouldn't recommend Mcrea Dental to anyone. They're rude and unprofessional.
I don’t like giving one star reviews, especially to black-owned businesses, but when you typify all the negative stereotypes surrounding black businesses, then I’m obligated to warn others. Yesterday I called early to verify what time my appt was that day. The lady tells me “I don’t have access to the schedule” … ok then what exactly is your job then? Does anyone there have access to the schedule? Did you have access to a schedule yesterday? For 30 minutes I was stuck on just that, thinking about the level of incompetence. The lady proceeds to tell me, “but we’ll call you back. That’s the best I can do right now.” From prior experience, I’ve never had a black-owned business tell me they would call me back, and actually do it. McRae Dental was no exception to that rule. They didn’t call me back, didn’t send an email, no follow-up of any sort, so I missed my appt and now they’ll be missing a customer. My wife also had a problem the last time she went there. She’s a busy woman and work requires her full attention throughout the day, so when she schedules an appt early in the morning only for the hygienist to show up 45 minutes later, that tells me that these people don’t respect our time, nor money. I’ve given up on these people. Find another dentist!
From the moment I walked in, I was met by Sylvia. He introduction to the practice was warm and inviting. Stephanie was so kind from the moment she called me back and complete my hygiene appointment. She ensured I was in informed during my cleaning. Dr. Hardy was professional and her exam was thorough! I have a 10 year background in dentistry and I felt very confident walking out my appointment today. Thank you so much!
Best dentist I’ve ever had. I have dental phobia from previous bad experiences. I now look forward to great visits with excellent care.
