After Stronczek placed a dental implant in my mouth I started have issues months later! About 1 and a 1/2 years later my mouth was extremely swollen and started bleeding. After a few days I felt what I thought was a popcorn kernel but it was a piece of the Zimmer/Biomed implant that had worked its way out. I called my family dentist and he send me back to Stronczek. Stronczek took X-rays but I didn’t get to see them. I showed him the piece of implant that came out and he said I must have really bitter down on something hard to break it. I was then told I needed to have the $750 dollar crown removed (cut off) before he could do anything. I went back to my family dentist and he tried to remove it but was unsuccessful after drilling into it. Then I was told I had to have it cut off but that was going to cost me $1000. Well, I said I’m not paying for Stronczek/Zimmer/Biomed issue! Not I’m stuck with a broken implant and a crown that has been drilled into and was packed with whatever my dentist used!
Dr. Stronczek was the best oral surgeon. I got implants done by him and he did an amazing job as well as put me at ease. The staff was also very friendly and understanding. would highly recommend him to anyone getting dental implants!
Dr. Stronczek is absolutely the best oral surgeon in the city of Fort Wayne. His bedside manner to his skill as a surgeon are amazing. All of his staff are professional and helpful. I have had now four seperate surgeries performed by Dr. Stronczek each without complication. If you need to have oral surgery please see Dr. Stronczek. The only issue you will run it to is its hard to get an appointment with him hes booked out pretty far in advance (really isnt an issue just an inconvience). Overall experince was great I'm an ICU/TRAUMA nurse and my insurance doesnt not cover him, I pay out of pocket to see him because hes that good.
Had to have jaw surgery and when it was time for the arch braces to come off they waited the day of to say they no longer took my insurance and I would have to pay out of pocket. They could of at least called time ahead to inform me I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
i understand that they deal with people who have been in accidents before, those who might have gotten the face beat in and stuff like that. but maybe they need to take a step back and realize that not everyone of their patients have gone through that and that some have their own fears and issues that although seem little and obscure to them; are big deal to the patient. i have a fear of dentist and have had my run in with some of the worst just starting when i was a littl kid who had an assistant shave the fronts of my teeth (absolutely unnecessary) and ruined my teeth. my teeth have been down hill ever since. here i am sitting in a room w/my mom while the guy is talking about bridge options and another option that involves putting a screw in my jaw. that scared the crap out of me and let alone i didnt understand half of the stuff he was saying so i let my mom handle the talking as usual. he didnt want to talk to my mom he wanted to talk to me and i was too freaked out to talk so he says "maybe when you decide to become a grown up and have adult coversations we can talk." he kept saying i needed to talk to him and he wasnt going to help me unless i grew up, all while i was crying. he was rude and insensitive to my situation. then a few weeks later we get a bill for a tooth pull from insurance saying they wouldnt cover it...we never had a tooth pull. we scheduled but never had it done because i refused to go back to them. And then the office sent us a bill themselves for the tooth pull; on a tooth they never pulled let alone touch. after the false billing and the how inconsiderate the man was i will never ever go back to him, i have never felt so humiliated in my life.
