My parents have been going to this practice for more years than I can count. So when I developed a problem tooth and got referred to a periodontist, I called Dr. Reich at Middlesex Periodontics. My issues were worse than I realized, but he walked me through all the x-rays and helped explain to me what's going on. We put an aggressive treatment plan together that involved, first, removing the problem tooth in the back that had deteriorated so much it needed to come out. Dr. Reich handled the procedure, which I was super-anxious about, with total finesse. We are now working together on the post and the implant that will eventually replace the pulled tooth. Second, to address my awful gum conditions, Dr, Reich ordered a 4-quadrant deep-scale planing to be completed over multiple sessions. I had to have one of these over a decade ago at another practice and it was pure torture, so you can imagine my anxiety with this. But Barbara on Dr. Reich's team, using a firm, but gentle touch, got my teeth and gums cleaner than they've ever been. And it didn't hurt one bit. Third, to combat my teeth grinding, which I'm told could be among the biggest culprits of my situation, Dr. Reich had me fitted for a night guard. Soon after I discovered I was grinding my teeth mostly during the day. So Dr. Reich had a day guard made for me that I could use even in meetings and Zoom calls. It's kind of like Invisalign for teeth grinders. I certainly wouldn't characterize any of this as fun, but I know I am in great hands with Dr. Reich and everyone who works in his office -- and I mean everyone. They are also very adept at managing the insurance process. And although deductibles can be reached quickly if you're like me and waited 53 years to get serious about my dental health, some out-of-pocket costs are reasonable to expect. But they've done a great job navigating everything such that I can maximize my dental insurance plan while also minimizing any out-of-pocket costs that inevitably will occur when you're doing a lot of procedures all at once. I highly recommend Dr. Reich and his awesome team for any of your periodontal and dental implant needs!
