Starting with the receptionist … she was polite, got the paperwork and signature and smiled. Good way to start my first visit at Monarch Dental in Hot Springs, Arkansas! The X-ray technician is very personable, pleasant, gentle and obviously loves her job … and does it well. Dr. Hilman was very thorough and explained all the X-rays and what was ok and what work needed to be done and why. I had a lot going on and he explained my plan for dental care one step at a time. April who manages all the paperwork is Amazing. She explains everything and makes it easier to follow. She is very cost-conscious and did all she could to help me with understanding dental costs, dental insurance, etc… I have NEVER given a good review for a Dentist or anyone in a dental office UNTIL NOW. They deserve the BEST review possible. Not one thing they could have done any better. I will be getting all my dental work done there. I trust them!

I really liked my visit at Monarch in Hot Springs. I went in for an SRP cleaning. I felt like I was taken care of kindly and respectfully by the office ladies April and Linda, and the hygienist Katie. I didn’t have any pain after my deep cleaning. The tech who took my X-rays on the first visit was great too. My girlfriend also started going here and she has been very pleased with her services as well. April oversees the financing and she was very helpful with the process. The clinic was clean and wasn’t noisy. I’m happy we’ve chosen Monarch to take care of us.

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the dental care I received at your office. I came to you seeking help for severe tooth pain. While I was prescribed medication, the painful tooth was never treated or removed, and my pain continued. Throughout this process, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously and that there was little urgency or compassion shown toward the level of pain I was experiencing. Instead, I felt as though the primary focus was on payment rather than on providing proper care or relief. This experience left me feeling dismissed and uncared for. I also cannot ignore how this treatment made me feel as a Black patient, as it seemed my pain and well-being were not given the same consideration they should have been. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to your office, nor will I spend additional time or resources seeking care there again. I believe patients deserve to be treated with dignity, empathy, and respect, especially when they are in significant pain. I hope this message encourages reflection and improvement in how patients are treated in the future. Sincerely, Kevin Douglas Hale

Very lovely experience each visit so far with everyone at Monarch. Dr. Hillman and Hannah did an amazing job as a team and ensured I was comfortable and informed of what was being done every step of my procedure. Not to mention front office ladies are absolutely amazing. It’s hard to find places that actually make you feel welcomed and cared for and I can’t thank you all enough.

Every staff member made me feel welcomed and well taken care of. This was my 1st visit with them but I I had one major issue. I had to be fitted 3 times for 2 crowns. The company they used to make the crowns just couldn’t seem to get them correct. I was also supposed to be getting another major procedure done but couldn’t be done until the crowns got in. I was using all my benefits by the end of the year and was only supposed to pay around $200 but since the crowns had to go back 3 times the other procedure couldn’t be done by the end of the year. The new charge is around $600. I feel they should’ve honored the price 1st quoted to me since it was at no fault of my own. It wasn’t their fault either but morally it would be the best thing to do, in my eyes at least.
