I've been coming to Dr. Sloan and his dental team for about one year now. Dr. Sloan has great bed side manor. He always takes the time to converse and wants to understand your issues and concerns. Attention to detail sees to be his forte each visit. I also wanted to share my experience of how difficult the office manager Caroline's job can be at the front desk. I whinessed it first hand in the lobby. Even when a patient was being very difficult, clearly pain and had difficulty understanding their bill. Caroline was cool, calm and collected and extremely professional. Take stalk in the fact that people will sometimes say thing's on a Google review because they are in pain or they simply can't pay for dental services rendered to them. I went to mountain family dentistry for 3 fillings. All went great except for the last one, it felt achy & sensitive during and after eating. I made an appointment for them to take a look at it. They offered me a 730am appointment which was fine with me. I didn’t ask their office to open their doors early for me. This is when their next availability was. I sat in the chair, they poked my tooth with that little tool, two minutes later they said everything looked good and I was good to go. I was a happy customer. Driving home they called me saying I owned $59. They said it was originally $100 to see them today but they brought the price down before calling me. I gave them the $59 in exchange of a 1 star review and cancelled future appointments. After spending over $600 for the work I had done, in my opinion, I wouldn’t charge my customers in the field that I’m in. As a family owned business we want our customers leaving happy. When they offer to open their doors early for a reoccurring customer, I’m hoping they kindly tell the customer that there is a fee for that. If a customer is feeling discomfort from the work that they did, Im hoping that they kindly tell the customer that they will be charged for it. Integrity & good customer service goes a long way.
Had a wisdom tooth extracted, not once did dentist clean extraction sight and let all of debris from grinding the tooth fall into tooth socket allowing it to heal over all them and cause bone spurs for over 3 months, not to mention having to extract them myself when they start poking though my gums to come out
I was in a lot of pain and hadn't been to a dentist in over 12 years. My mom recommended Mountain Family Dentistry to me. The front desk person was super nice, the assistant made me feel more confident that I was in good hands, and Dr. Sloan is probably the best dentist on planet earth. Even with the best of the best, I didn't have to empty my bank account to get work done. Thank you!
