The staff were all amazing! The assistant to my surgery was TJ. Very professional and super nice. Put me completely at ease. My surgeon was Dr. Ravelo who made the procedure as smooth as possible. Again very professional and also very nice and kind. I would highly recommend Mountain State Oral and Facial Surgery Teays Valley office to anyone needing these types of services. Pricing is also reasonable.
Went on a last minute opening to get one wisdom tooth extracted. Dr. Ravelo convinced me to take both knowing full and well I am PETRIFIED of the dentist and anything regarding teeth. He completed both extractions within minutes and the best part, I WAS AWAKE!!! I was initially scared but he kept me calm throughout. However, I would NEVER have been able to make it without the assistant TJ. He kept me calm, laughing, and empowered knowing I was in great hands. The doctor was amazing, but there’s nothing better than a doctor with just as an amazing staff. I give the both of them 1000000/10 and would recommend the practice to anyone.
Dr. Ravelo, Tiffany, and Peggy were all wonderful with my surgery! They were all so comforting, caring, and were efficient with their work. Dr. Ravelo personally went offer surgical options with me himself. Peggy was so kind and funny with her bedside manner! Tiffany was so caring and made me feel so cared for. Entire staff was awesome!!! Wonderful experience!
Hannah (Montana) was the best! She sat with me the entire time, answering any and all questions to help with nerves and brought cozy blankets. The nurses were also so sweet and ensure you’re comfortable and taken care of. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better than Dr. Ravelo, I’m almost 24 hours post-op with little to no pain. Awesome team, especially if you have a lot of nerves toward surgery.
I highly recommend TEAYS VALLEY (Hurricane) Mountain State Oral Surgery because EVERY ONE of the staff there is absolutely amazing! Their only purpose is to care for the patient while making them as comfortable as possible. My dentist had scheduled my referral appointment (to have a broken molar surgically removed) at a time that conflicted with husband's surgery. When I called to request a more suitable time, I spoke with Jessica who was very friendly, understood my situation and helped me by arranging a better time for my oral surgery. I arrived for my appointment a few minutes before 1:00 o'clock, checked in with Buffy who was friendly and helpful. At 1:00 (no waiting involved), I was cordially greeted by Lanie, radiologist, who took my X-rays and escorted me to a surgery room. There I met Trina, who was very friendly, personable and answered all my questions, completed the remaining paperwork and prepared me for surgery. She had such a sweet personality, that I quickly became relaxed. Next Dr. Ravelo, who was kind, friendly and even turned on music to help me relax during the surgery. He wasted no time getting me numbed and prepared to remove my molar. He and Trina were an awesome team who worked together fantastically and in no time my surgery was over. I was given instructions for at home care and AMAZINGLY at 1:45 (just 45 minutes after my appointment time) I was in my car and on my way home!! The following day Lanie was friendly and helpful when she called to check on me and answer my post-surgery questions. This entire team at TEAYS VALLEY Mountain State Oral Surgery is to be commended for their dedication to every aspect of PATIENT CARE! They definitely set an excellent example of what dental and healthcare in this country should be!
