Dr. May had to do a tricky front extraction and replace it with a ceramic implant. My own dentist couldn’t believe my front tooth was an implant- it looked so good. The entire process from the consultation, extractions, to implants and crowns was one of the best dental experiences I have had. ( not that any of us want a lot of dental experiences). Dr. May and his team are amazing! He is knowledgeable and takes time to listen to your questions and answer them. Highly recommend!
After years of seeing traditional dentists who could never tell me what was wrong, I finally found real answers with Dr. May. I learned about biological dentistry and discovered that my pain was coming from infected root canals—something no other dentist had the technology or motive to confirm before. Dr. May removed three root canals and replaced them with implants, and the entire process was far easier and more painless than I ever expected. Beyond the incredible clinical care, the environment in this office is truly special. Everyone is so kind, supportive, and welcoming—you can genuinely tell they are like family there. For the first time in years, I feel heard, understood, and finally out of pain. I’m beyond grateful and would highly recommend Dr. May to anyone searching for real answers and compassionate care. I highly recommend and hope that more doctors/ healthcare providers follow in the footsteps of Dr. May.
I have traveled out of state to see Dr. May for a root canal removal and ceramic implant. Dr. May and his entire staff are true professionals, and extremely attentive to every detail! I truly appreciate their holistic dentistry approach in addressing any concerns their patients have. I felt at ease during all my appointments and I couldn’t recommend Dr. May and his staff more! I believe he is an okay doctor. I'm grateful we have doctor like him here in CT, and I'm happy for all of those who are happy with their new implants and hope they last forever. However, for me, based on his reviews and what I saw on his website, I had very high expectations and expected more. For example, as biological dentist, I wouldn't expect him to use synthetic vitamin D, but would expect that he has natural food and herbs based alternatives, but maybe biological isn't holistic. Overall, he's good dentist from what I gathered from my consultation, his staff is amazing and superb, but my expectations were very high, and being complex case, he did see me as a complex case, however, I then ended up finding doctor that's a hidden gem, and while he did point out all of these complexities that Dr May pointed out, to this other doctor it still was like another day in the office rather than challenging case to work with. The other thing for Dr May I would say that his prices are also very high, almost at 50% higher than what I was quoted with others. Now if that meant that my implants have 50% higher chance of long term survival, I wouldn't mind the price at all, but this way, the price isn't justified for me. Overall, I'm grateful for Dr May's talent and hope he continues growing in his expertise, and for those for whom Dr May doesn't work out, just know that CT thankfully is full of talented dentists, so keep searching and you will find your hidden gem of a dentist.
After years of unsatisfactory dentistry, I was made aware of Dr May. I loved the fact that he approaches dentistry from a holistic side. I couldn’t tell you how much money and poor dentistry I’ve been through for 25 years. After having a root canal done a decade ago, it bothered me constantly and I would visit my old dentists multiple times a years with complaints about it. They always said the same thing. “We’ll keep an eye on it”. An eye on it lead to expensive band aid dentistry. Back and forth, more money for subpar quality. I had had enough. I finally took the leap of faith and went to see Dr May. Dr May went through my whole mouth starting with safe removal of mercury fillings and from there, outstanding gum graphs, sinus lift, ceramic implants and extensive dentistry where needed. I’m truly grateful and amazed by his talent and the final results.An extremely natural looking, confident smile I hadn’t had in years. I highly recommend him and his awesome staff. They have a customer for life now with me. I go out of my way to tell people about him and his staff and how satisfied I am with them. Thanks for everything!
