Very bad experience. It started with being told I needed a crown. I then went to another trusted doctor (who used to work at NEDG but was apparently “kicked out”) and was told I did not need a crown after all. This clearly shows they were pushing an expensive overtreatment instead of providing the care you actually needed. And we all know there’s no way back once you get a crown. On top of that, I dropped off my insurance ID at the front desk right after paying out of pocket for a routine cleaning. The receptionist was nice but unfortunately careless, and never processed the claim despite promising she would. Only after my third call did they finally seem to be working on it. When I asked if a certain doctor still worked there, her response was: “don’t know where that man is.” At this point it’s not cute, it’s unprofessional. It’s also sad they moved the Boylston NEDG team into this dungeon. Both staff and patients want to see sunlights. Hygienists are nice, but I will not be coming back.

I’m really disappointed with this dental office. Out of nowhere, I received a bill on November 17th claiming I owed $98 for a service done 16 months ago. The notice said it was my “final notification before collections” — yet this was literally the first time I had ever been contacted about it. The office has my email and cell number, and they regularly text me for appointments, but never once sent any email, text, or call about this balance. They said they had mailed letters, but I had moved and had specifically informed the office of my new address, so they knew mailed statements wouldn’t reach me. Despite that, they never used any of the contact methods I actually receive. The charge itself was for fluoride, which I never would have agreed to if I had known it wasn’t covered by my insurance. It was $98 — something that could easily be written off considering the circumstances. When I explained everything and asked them to comp it, I was told the staff member “did not have the authority” to adjust the balance. But after I mentioned that I would leave an honest review describing the situation, suddenly she did have the ability to offer 25% off. That made it clear that the earlier “I don’t have the authority” line was simply a pressure tactic, not the truth. Overall, the lack of communication, the inaccurate claim that I had received multiple notices, and the sudden shift in what they “could” do once I pushed back all felt really unprofessional. I would recommend being extremely cautious with this office, especially around billing and transparency. Update: After posting my review, I received an email from the CEO. Instead of acknowledging that the office could have used the contact methods they already use for other communication, or that threatening a patient with collections on first contact is inappropriate, the CEO accused me of writing a “false review,” told me taking it down was a “serious matter,” and said the situation could become an “expensive mistake” for me. The tone was unnecessarily intimidating and unprofessional for a healthcare provider.

Beautiful clinic and the entire staff was lovely and amazing starting from the front desk, dental hygienists and dentist! Excited to be a new patient here. Kathleen, Ahmed and Trish were the best!

The staff at NEDG is very friendly and professional. However, I'm leaving a 4 star review b/c I had to wait an hour for my dental cleaning. When I saw the hygienist, she told me she would take x-rays of my teeth, when I just had my x-rays taken 45 min prior at the beginning of my appointment.
