Patient Reviews
Powered by GoogleI have been at both NHOMS and had a great experience. Dr Ahson was absolutely awesome and informative. Janice and Sam were fantastic assistants and kept me in the loop. Had some great conversation about fisher cats and the house under the Tyngsboro bridge. Colleen took care of all the paperwork and it was extremely well organized. They have great windows with a relaxing tree line view.
I have had several surgeries done at NHOMS Salem office and they have been outstanding! I want to thank Dr. Ahson and his incredible staff: Fabiola, Katherine, Denise, Sal, Janice, Liam, Sam, and Colleen. The entire staff works incredibly hard to make sure you’re as comfortable as you can be. For me the doctors and dentist isn’t the most calming things I have to do but they make as much of the stress go away as they can. I highly recommend them.
Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! So much money grabbing with the office! I had two implants from other oral surgeons where the Drs were fully transparent and disclosed all the steps in procedures so the patient knew what expect. Can't say the same here. If you are not on a budget and have a surplus of money to buy another Dr a Mercedes and a vacation home, go to NHOMS.
The bad: *Did not honor religious beliefs/practices. Messed up insurance billing despite being provided all information well in advance. Was not provided price (or quote) before surgery date to discover incorrect billing in advance, which led to having to pay incorrect cost up front for surgery to proceed. Plus convenience fee since I did not know price ahead and had to put on credit card. The good: Surgical staff is very friendly and caring. Answers questions and checks in. The pre-op consult staff from the Nashua office who were covering the Salem location were very funny but also super informative. Surgical staff day of surgery were also attentive. Waiting to see if the billing is corrected and refunded. Was not resolved at the office day of surgery. Update: Someone listed as the owner responded to this review, asking me to call about five hours after initially posting. I requested a follow-up via email regarding the above. No email received. No follow-up on billing, insurance error being resolved, or refund. The contact that was received, the clinical team reached out via phone call for a general check, as they stated they would at discharge. Advised that bleeding was still excessive, they provided the emergency clinical number for follow-up after hours and additional medical advice to attempt to remedy. Clinical/Surgical staff are on point. Called 8/8 at 1500 as no one reached out still. Reception said Kayla Sanbourne would call me back, but she had not reviewed anything regarding my complain. I was not called back. Called 8/12 still told someone would call back. Called 8/14 left message again. 8/22 still have not received call back. Insurance still improperly billed. Changing from 3 star to 1 star review.
Dr. Ahson was very informative and took a lot of time explaining my options. My extraction was quite successful as I had an abscess at the base of the root that came out with my tooth. The two surgical assistants, Janice and Jessica were quite patient and compassionate making sure I was comfortable through the procedure. Janice took alot of time explaining all the aftercare Unfortunately I’ll be back, but at least I know I’m on good hands
