My 18yo had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Cuomo. Only 1 parent was allowed to go back to him after the surgery. My son asked for his father because he was concerned that I have serious back issues and that Dad would be better for leaning on when leaving. I asked if I could also go back and was told, “No. Only 1 parent is allowed and your son asked for Dad.” Prior to leaving, while obtaining the insurance paperwork, I shared my extreme displeasure with their policy, sharing that I had never met the doctor and felt it was wrong to not allow me in back to ask questions. I was told that everything had been explained to Dad, and that Dad was given a paper with all instructions, and that I could call later if I have any questions. My older child had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Cuomo’s father, Dr. Anthony Cuomo, who had the absolute BEST bedside manner, and allowed both my husband and I to go back to her after her surgery, and answered all my questions. We left with a positive feeling and recommended him to everyone who needed their wisdom teeth removed. One of the ladies at the desk went back to Dr. Cuomo, to let him know that I was displeased with their policy, and my not being given the opportunity to meet him and ask him questions. The response I was given was, “He said that’s fine, and that your son is an adult (still in high school, where I have to call in to have any absence excused or to allow him to leave early) and made his choice about which parent he wanted:” When we got in the car, I asked my son about the surgery. He said he woke up several times during the surgery and said, “Ow,” and asked for more anesthesia, and Dr. Cuomo told him to stop talking. This is the absolute WORST bedside manner we’ve ever experienced when one of our children have had surgery. It was unnecessary to exclude me from going to the back after the surgery, and my son’s own experience is abhorrent! Dr. Cuomo’s insensitive response to my concern about having never met him, and my wanting to ask questions, was incredulous! We left with a sour taste in our mouths. I do not recommend Dr. Cuomo, and no one in my family will ever use him again in the future. A little kindness goes a long way, Dr. Cuomo!

Dr Cuomo and his staff are fantastic. I would never consider going any where else. I've recommended so many people to his office and they have also had amazing experiences and positive results. Clean, precise, painfree, rapid

I called on June 19, 2025 to make an appointment to remove a cracked crown and a broken tooth which was covered over the crown. I explained that I couldn’t put pressure on the tooth without experiencing significant pain . I was given 2 choices; the end of July in Danbury or the end of August in Carmel. I replied that I couldn’t wait 5 weeks for one or 9 weeks for the other. I was basically told ‘take it or leave it”. I left it and called another oral surgeon and received an appointment in 6 days. The American Healthcare system is broken.

The worst experience of my life. Dr. Cuomo did not finish my surgery AND I woke up during the procedure. It was very unclear whether this was his fault or simply my tolerance to anesthesia, nonetheless my experience was traumatic. He is extremely rude and dismissive and the nurses were not much better. My healing process did go well, but I have to have a second extraction surgery now. I would not recommend this surgeon to anyone, especially a younger adolescent or child.

At first I was very nervous to get my wisdom teeth extracted, but during both my consultation and the day of my surgery, Dr. Cuomo was very kind, sympathetic and made me feel as ease. I was comfortable with both him and staff and they were happy to answer the many questions I had. Dr. Cuomo was also very thorough with my post-op check up and re-assured me that everything was as it should be. He is a great oral surgeon and overall excellent!
