I went here for years to correct gum disease. I was referred here by my dentist. The changes made were priceless. They helped me take pride in my dental care. Dr. Naud does not have the best bedside manner, but I’m not paying him to be my friend. He knows what he is doing and corrected my gum disease. My dental hygienist while there was Mandie. She did a great job keeping me comfortable and encouraging my dental hygiene at home. To date she is my favorite hygienist and I am going to miss her genuine care. My qualm is with Hayden at the front desk. They had no empathy or understanding for human error. I needed to reschedule an appointment, called a week ahead to try to reschedule and they were going to charge me $25 to do so. So I kept my appointment. Upon arrival to my appointment I discovered the office changed locations. Therefore I missed my appointment, and they wanted to charge me $50 to reschedule. Absolutely terrible customer service, especially when the world needs gentle humanity right now. I am disappointed to discontinue my dental care with Northland, but if they can’t tolerate an innocent human error, I don’t want to go there. I hope Dr. Naud and Mandie know how much they helped me. I hope the front desk starts to value their patients and treat them with understanding. I would have given 2 stars due to terrible customer service, but I can’t ignore the great care I received from the Dr and the dental hygienist.
I had a bad experience. I wish I would have read the reviews before blindly accepting my dentist referral to them. I scheduled a consultation, quite a ways out..months out.. They informed me up front the consult itself was $250..ok, I agreed because I needed to get in. One week before the appointment I got a call from the office who cancelled my appointment because Dr Naude decided to do some speaking at some event. They offered a make up appointment a week later, but that day wouldn't work for me. I have work and family obligations. Thats why I was scheduled months out! Taking my business elsewhere. Always read the reviews!! They wasted months of my time...
Had a gum graft done on lower front teeth and all the roots are still exposed. It's sad this is the only place in Duluth that does this. Your better off going to the cities.
I originally started my treatment with Dr. Altire, who was amazing, had an amazing staff and worked with my insurance company. I knew he was retiring & he (Altire) had given Dr. Naud a good name, and Naud soon took over his practice. I had my teeth cleaned at Altire's but Naud said it wasn't working and and I need gum surgery to clean under the gums (it's as horrible as it sounds) not only was he rude to his staff, but he was rude to me. There are no bedside manners at all. He gave me a pill to relax me, which worked slightly, but then he basically stabbed the novocain needle so hard into my gums that I immediately started bawling as it hurt so fricken bad! (I have horrible teeth, I'm a pro at taking novocaine.) All the time, he was laughing & chatting with his staff, like I wasn't even there. After all was said and done, his staff guaranteed me several times that they were working my insurance and that we would be reimbursed for everything by their office once it was submitted to insurance. Nope!! It didn't happen, and we paid thousands out of pocket. I complained to my own dentist who is also retired now, and he even called and chewed him out. I will never return to him. 5 years later - I've heard nothing but bad things and I will never change my review. He was the worst! It's too bad someone else doesn't open a periodontal office, they would make a killing!!
My experience at Northland Peridontal Associates has been excellent. I have confidence in Dr. Naud’s skills and recommendations for my gums. The receptionists and hygienists are very friendly and professional.
