For my 60th birthday, I did something I had wanted to do for almost 50 years - I replaced my teeth. I had never been happy with my teeth and I was starting to have some amount of problems with them and knew I had a fair amount of dental work in front of me. Seeing several Nuvia commercials, I decided to investigate and about 3 weeks ago I decided to contact their Parsippany, NJ center. From that first call, I was very impressed with how helpful everyone was. There was no pressure at all and they answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. My husband and I made an appointment the same week to visit the office, thinking we would just gather all of the information we needed and go home and decide if it was right for me or not. But within 30 minutes we both felt completely comfortable and educated on the process. John did a great job of helping us understand all that was involved and just let us make the decision on our own without any pressure. Dr Kim, the restorative dentist was warm, caring, informative and left us feeling very confident that he understood what was important to me. Bottom line, it just felt right, as this was something I had wanted for most of my life. The team at the Parsippany location gave us all of the information we needed, and we scheduled my procedure for about 3 weeks out. One of the things I had to commit to was stopping smoking, but honestly, I was so excited at the prospect of getting these new teeth that my 40+ year habit didn't stand a chance. I was able to stop cold turkey just knowing if I wanted my new smile, smoking had to go. When the office called just to check in to see how I was doing, I told them I had quit smoking and they said that since I had already been approved for surgery if we wanted to make it happen more quickly, they could arrange that. So two days later, there I was at 9AM in their office ready to go! Obviously, there was some trepidation about being asleep during this process, but I could not have been more happy with the process or the outcome. The anesthesiologist, the support team and especially Dr. Weber, the surgeon in charge of the process were AMAZING. Dr Weber went out of his way to talk us through the process and to make sure we didn't have any questions. Everything that he told us to expect was exactly how the process went, and just hearing how caring and knowledgeable he was left us both feeling completely comfortable. After my surgery, Dr Kim did an amazing job in measuring and preparing me for my new teeth and I headed home really in no pain at all. The next day we went back and they fitted me with my new smile and I could NOT be happier. While there has been some expected bruising, there really has been no pain that I had to worry about, and the whole process was amazing.
