Please do not schedule extractions with this office. My experience was frustrating from start to finish, and I am extremely disappointed with how everything was handled. I chose this location because they accepted my insurance, but I truly wish I had gone elsewhere and paid out of pocket. Like many people, I have significant dental anxiety. I discussed oral sedation with the doctor since I have never been put under before, and while I was open to oral sedation, I also wanted to explore other options. I immediately ran into billing issues, including being told by a nurse that sedation was not covered when I knew it was. I had already confirmed with another provider and recieved paperwork. When I began experiencing pain, I tried to move forward with scheduling but still wanted clarity on sedation alternatives. After two days of being told that a resident would call me, without anyone explaining why oral sedation was my only option, I was finally told, in a very blunt and dismissive way, that I could not be put under due to my weight. This was shocking, especially since another doctor I consulted never mentioned this being a concern. Feeling I had no real choice, I reluctantly agreed to oral sedation, only to then be told I would not even receive numbing cream before the local anesthetic. At that point, I canceled my appointment. Patient comfort needs serious improvement here. At the very least, numbing cream should be offered, and patients should be spoken to with respect and given clear, compassionate explanations. I felt treated like just another set of teeth rather than a person, which was incredibly disheartening. Because of this experience, I will avoid Ochsner hospitals in the future if at all possible.

Dr. Fox is great. I have a nonverbal autistic daughter She has to be put to sleep for all procedures. Most dentist don’t want to put clients this age to sleep. So I’m glad Dr. Fox does.. She was patient with her and she showed concern. The waiting area and overall clinic was very clean. The staff was courteous. The front desk clerk was very nice and professional. The waiting time wasn’t long at all. Maybe ten minutes.

If I could give no stars, it is most definitely deserved. I had a surgery scheduled earlier in the year for an extraction of a few teeth. I arrive, got prepped, and was ready to go until on of the assisting nurses asked about my loop recorder in my chest. She expressed they needed clearance for the cardiologist in order to put me under. I asked and even suggested to just reach out to said cardiologist for the clearance, but they refused and sent me back home until I could have it then my surgery could be rescheduled. Spoke with my cardiologist, and they as well of their nurse sent in clearance multiple times and still no surgery was rescheduled. That was about two months ago. I personally contacted this office to see what’s going, and even the receptionist was shocked that no one reached out to me. I have been in constant pain since my initial surgery was canceled and it gets worse. I can’t keep taking Tylenol to ease the pain. I have no idea what to do now and I refuse to develop liver problems from constantly taking pain meds. So hopefully this will get the attention that’s needed.

I don't recommend this place at all. They don't have the equipment to do exams or the numbing gel to to put the novocaine in. My first visit was okay when the lady did it but that second visit when an Hispanic male did it, with very careless all he was worried about was getting it done instead of taking time on somebody's mouth. Obviously they don't care how bad that needle hurts and they just go right in and get it over with instead of just properly taking time on ppls teeth. What's the rush. If you ask me, go to a proper dental place that's going to do it right. I don't care if you have to pay for the exam. Proper care is everything.
