Everyone in this office is efficient and personable! Billing was transparent and easy to work with. This was my first time experiencing IV sedation and they made the process very easy and comfortable. The nurse and assistant were super kind. Dr. O’Brien called the evening after my procedure to ensure recovery was going according to plan. I really appreciate such thorough care!

5 stars for the dentists and nurses, but one star for the financial coordinator. I was extremely nervous before my procedure, but the staff and everyone there made me feel relaxed and comfortable. They were very professional, and after the procedure, everything was explained to me in a way that I could understand. I dare say that I actually enjoyed my dental experience! 12-14-25 UPDATE: PSA – this is in regards to Omaha and Council Bluffs Oral Surgery on W. Dodge Rd. in Omaha, Nebraska. The dentists there were awesome. The work was awesome. The issue that I had was with their financial coordinator, K. Santana. Before I agreed to any procedure, she gave me a printout of what the cost would be. Before I agreed to the cost, I asked her a minimum of three times if she was sure that this was the amount that I would be responsible for and she assured me, three times that yes it was. I said good because I can’t afford the other amount that you were showing. And she said that with my insurance, the lower amount was the amount that I would be responsible for. So, based on that, I signed the papers and agreed to the procedure. About two weeks ago, I received a statement in the mail from them for twice the agreed-upon amount. I was shocked and notified them as soon as possible that there was apparently some error. The financial coordinator explained to me that she had mistakenly misrepresented to me what my portion of the bill would be. She kept apologizing and said it was an office error and she was extremely sorry. I said OK. I understand that we are all humans and we make mistakes however, I would never have signed an agreement to have the procedure done had I known that the higher amount was the amount I was going to be charged. I honestly think she just didn’t know her job that well and misunderstood but still that’s not my fault. I requested that they make an adjustment to my statement since I would never have had the procedure done had I’ve been given the correct amount. She claims that she spoke to her supervisor and that her supervisor, A. Bilava, said they would not be making any adjustments to my statement! As a person who is on a fixed income, this was devastating to me! I will do what I can to take care of it, (especially since it was mentioned that it would be sent to collections unless a payment was made) but I realize that there may be other people who may be considering them for their dental surgery. I want to warn others to be diligent when discussing finances with this particular organization. The fact that her supervisor supports this type of business practice is astonishing to me! I have NEVER had this happen with any other business that I have dealt with in the past. I honestly felt like I was deceived and then bullied into paying the extra thousands of dollars. When I went to complete my review on other platforms, I noticed that this is a recurring problem regarding payment and is a terrible business practice. I wish I had known this beforehand, but I was referred to them by my regular dentist and so I trusted them.

My husband was referred here by our dentist to have a biopsy done. When I called, the staff got him in right away, which I really appreciated. They explained that if a biopsy was needed, it would be billed through our insurance. That was perfect, as we have great insurance with a low deductible that has already been met. During the consult, the doctor confirmed that a biopsy was necessary and shared a few possible diagnoses one of which could be cancer. He mentioned he might be able to schedule the procedure as soon as the next day, and that the surgical coordinator would come in to provide an estimate and finalize scheduling. However, when the coordinator came in, she told us we would need to pay $928 upfront. I was shocked and then frustrated. I explained that we don’t have $928 available to pay out of pocket and reminded her that I was told the procedure would be submitted to insurance. She then said we could request reimbursement through our insurance afterward. I said, “So we can’t schedule this without paying $928 upfront?” She confirmed that was the case and offered CareCredit as an option. I declined, explaining again that our deductible is already met and we simply don’t have that amount available. I also expressed concern that this policy could delay care—even when cancer is a possibility. She said, unfortunately, they could not schedule the biopsy without the payment. This type of information should really be communicated upfront, not at the very end of the appointment especially in a situation as serious as this.

I had a tooth extraction for a future implant. It's certainly nothing to look forward to, but my experience was very good with both Dr. Schadel, and with Sherry, who walked me through the procedure and gave me post-op instructions. I recommend them highly.

They were very accommodating and kind to me. I went for a Wisdom Teeth removal. They explained the process, helped ease my fear, listened to me every step of the way. They allowed my mom to be there while they inserted the IV as well. Very kind!
