Powered by GoogleI recently got my wisdom teeth extracted here, and had a relatively seamless experience. As other reviewers have pointed out, you do have to pay for your procedures up front, and they do not work with insurance. However, after my visits, they filed claims to my insurance and I was reimbursed. I'm pretty young and not well versed in how all this works, but I did look around at other places before deciding to go with this one and all of them worked the exact same way. You pay full price up front, and deal with the claim later. Dr. Bevin was, contrary to other reviews, very professional throughout my two visits (consultation, surgery). They answered all of my questions regarding the procedure, payment, and consultation about local or general anesthesia. I had no problems with the front desk either. While the way insurance works in this country continues to be a pain point, I really don't see why other reviewers claim that this place is worse than anywhere else. The care I received was top quality, and I am happy with my decision to get my teeth extracted here.
I started off calling the Pittsfield office to make an appointment. I had my referral in hand and everything. They said they did not take my insurance, so they made an appointment for me at the Bennington office because they said my insurance was taken there. Also, it showed Dr. Bevin under my list of doctors who take my insurance. So I go and have my appointment, and as I’m getting ready to be Checked out, they tell me my insurance is not accepted and I have to pay around $279 for the consultation in the x-ray. I thought that was a little fishy. Spoke to my insurance company and they said that should not have happened as I am covered in and out of network regardless. Speaking again with the front desk, they said because they don’t participate they refuse to send in the paperwork and you pay for everything upfront. They gave me an itemized bill for the surgery I was going to have for 2800+ dollars that I would’ve had to pay upfront. I called my insurance and they said that’s crazy, tell them to send a pre-treat and we will take care of it. I had to fight with them to at least get that, and they kept saying you have to pay everything upfront. You have to pay everything upfront. The insurance said that was a big red flag, so I made the decision to cancel my appointment and call around. I called two other places to set up consultations for surgery, both out of network, and they said insurance is not an issue. They send the paperwork, no matter what. So I’m set up with another provider that gave me no issue. Also, my referring doctor is also out of network, and there were no issues with insurance for them. They sent it in, my insurance covered. I tried speaking to them quite a few times at the front desk here, and also even had them call my insurance company, and we kept hitting a brick wall. My insurance company said they should not be rocket science, and it should not be difficult. There is a sign at the front desk that says no screaming, no yelling no profanity, and now I can understand why. They try to scam you and take your money straight out of your pocket instead of dealing with insurance. Dealing with these people is worse than actually getting your teeth pulled. I will absolutely not recommend them to anyone.
Have had to see Dr Rothschild 3X now and each time he was wonderful! Best oral surgeon - staff in office very friendly as well and makes a nervous patient such as me very comfortable! This is the only place I would ever go to have a tooth extracted
If it weren't for the lovely ladies at the front desk.I would not recommend this dentist Unless it's an emergency you can't find any place else to go. This man had no bedside manner. And the nurse that was with them The day I was there was just as bad they were cold and u caring and veryrude...disappointment to say the least.
Had Blue Cross Dental. When ready to pay difference, woman start typing on calculator forever. Looked Shady. Like aspen dental. Then gave me an outrageous price
