I needed to have a tooth extracted. My dentist gave me the names of a few places they were all booked for a couple of months. I found this place on my own by calling my ins. I was able to get in within a week and a half for a consultation and get scheduled a week and a half later to have my tooth extracted. First impression is the building it’s in is very clean and beautiful inside. Their office is just as lovely and bright. The front desk sees you at the moment that you walk in the door and is smiling as you walk up to the desk and is very friendly and happy to help you. The doctors assistant Leeann that helped me was absolutely wonderful. She was so lovely to talk to , so kind and caring and the doctor was also. He was friendly. He was patient and understanding for my anxiety with having my tooth pulled. He explained everything that he was going to do and then explained everything as he was doing it. He truly made me feel at ease along with his assistant. I didn’t feel anything for the tooth extraction, it didn’t take long and they sent me home with an ice pack and an adorable heart stress ball that they had given me at the front desk when I got there. The place is also very clean. I recommend anybody who has to have tooth extraction to come here, you will definitely be put at ease and well taking care of.
Dr. Norbutt and his staff took excellent care of my son throughout his surgery process (4 wisdom teeth pulled and a tooth exposure). Information about the procedure was detailed and clear, as was financial side of the process. Surgery was prompt, and the recovery process went better than expected. Very happy to have done it here.

I cannot recommend Dr. Bauer and Oral & Facial Surgery of Pittsburgh enough! He has helped my 86-year-old mom three different times with extractions and two implants, and she had absolutely no pain during or after any of the procedures. (They put her to sleep for all of them.). That alone is amazing, but what really impressed me was that Dr. Bauer personally called to follow up in the evening after each procedure to make sure she was doing well. The entire office staff is wonderful—from the friendly, efficient front desk to the caring gals in the back. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and cared for. Dr. Bauer himself is the perfect mix of professional and personable—he’s funny, kind, knowledgeable, and completely honest. He goes above and beyond for his patients, even when they are 86 and can't hardly hear. If you’re looking for an oral surgeon who truly cares about his patients, provides top-notch care, and delivers outstanding results, Dr. Bauer is the one.
Dr. Bauer is excellent. He is an extremetly skilled surgeon. My husband has had multiple procedures. He has had almost no pain and superb results. Dr. Bauer explained everything thorougly and took time to answer all of our questions. In addition to being a great doctor, he is a joy to talk with.
