About the Practice
Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas has a team of five oral surgeons: Colin S. Bell, DDS, MSD; Douglas J. Dingwerth, DMD, MD; Maxwell D. Finn, DDS, MD; William R. Walstad, DDS and Phillip Newton, DDS, MD. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, our doctors manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas, practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.

I chose OSANT because of the countless amazing reviews I read online about them. And let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. I don’t have insurance and since I was paying 100% out of pocket I wanted to go with the BEST! I feel like I definitely got what I paid for. I’m 2 1/2 days post opp and have experienced almost no pain whatsoever. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable while being friendly and compassionate. I was scared to death and they made me feel right at home. I couldn’t recommend them more.
I had a great experience at this practice when my oldest daughter had her wisdom teeth extracted in 2022. While Dr. Walstad didn’t perform the surgery, we had a follow-up appointment with him, and he truly impressed us. He was incredibly kind to my daughter, taking the time to reassure her and listen to her concerns. Because of this positive experience, when my middle daughter needed her wisdom teeth extracted, we specifically requested Dr. Walstad for her care. He has been attentive and compassionate throughout her recovery, which has had its challenges. His patience and support have made a significant difference for her during this time. As healthcare professionals ourselves, my husband and I appreciate the importance of listening to patients and addressing their concerns. Dr. Walstad embodies this approach, making the overall experience so much better. Additionally, the staff at the practice were excellent, further enhancing our visits. I would highly recommend using Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas for any oral surgery needs. I have no complaints from my experience here. The office staff was nice & knowledgeable. The facility was very nice as well. They are also very helpful over the phone if you have any questions after your surgery.
Was asked for Medical insurance card twice before being told they don’t bill the Medical for wisdom teeth removal. So when I asked about the cost of the consultation and was given an answer of o we bill and if paid it’s a credit towards surgery was a way to get me in and cash out. Not until the END of the consult AFTER you took the medical card did they come in and say o it’s $4600 because we don’t bill medical plans. Maybe start with that when your asked questions about the charges and don’t ask for a medical card you won’t be doing anything with. This was a waste of my time, your time and HSA funds you had no right to had you said you don’t deal with medical coverage UP FRONT!! What a disappointment. Now starting over again with more time off work, pulling kid from school etc. be respectful of patients time the same way you expect patients to be respectful of yours!!!
I have got to know Dr Dingwerth and his staff at the Rowlett location during an implant procedure over the last few months. He is very personable and an awesome surgeon. His staff makes you fell welcome / comfortable the moment you walk in. These folks are great!
