After decades of using RSE Dentistry in Katy, we brought in my 94 year old mother as she had several teeth with issues due to her advanced age. They identifed 3 teeth that needed immediate extraction and referred us to Dr. Shepherd at Piney Point Oral and Maxillofacial in Katy at I-10 and Mason. Dr. Shepherds staff immediately got my mother in that Friday. At that appointment Dr. Shepherd took additional x-rays and confirmed the need to extract 3 teeth. He carefully explained the issues, the procedure, the risks, conservative options, and generally displayed a great deal of confidence, competence, and compassion. They got my mom in 3 days later on Monday. The support staff was patient, professional, and completely competent. She went in to the operating room at 11:42 and by 12:45 we were back at her house in the Memorial area. That's not a typo, she was home (15 miles away) an hour after they took her in. The procedure was flawless. There was minimal bleeding, no complications, and virtually no pain. About 4 hours later she was up and about and feeling great. She ended up only taking some tylenol even though Dr. Shepherd had prescribed pain killers. The following day she was up, painless, and more energized than we've seen her in quite some time!The procedure was 100% successful and my 94 year old mom is completely satisfied with Dr. Shepherd, his team, and Piney Point. We would highly recommend Dr. Shepherd to friends and family and would give even more than 5 stars if possible. Perfect procedure extracting 3 teeth from a 94 year old, with ZERO complications! Thank you Dr. Shepherd and team, you all did a great job, and my mom thanks you all.
Fantastic experience getting my wisdom teeth removed. Dr Koo was excellent and is extremely knowledgeable. I didn’t feel any pain at all post surgery and the recovery went way smoother than what I was expecting. The entire team was wonderful. I highly recommend Dr Koo and his team.
Dr Koo was awesome I needed to have wisdom teeth removed prior to a total knee replacement his staff got me in and he scheduled me in five days in order to meet criteria to keep my knee surgery scheduled. From beginning to end hood staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend for your oral surgery needs.
I had my wisdom teeth removed at Piney Point Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with Dr. Koo and had a great experience. Dr. Koo was calm, thorough, and explained everything clearly, which really helped ease my nerves before surgery. The procedure went smoothly and recovery has been exactly how he described. The whole staff was kind and professional from start to finish. I’m really glad I chose this office and would definitely recommend Dr. Koo to anyone needing oral surgery.
Huge shoutout to Val and Kenya! They were both excellent at their jobs and made the entire experience smooth and comfortable. Kenya helped prep for the surgery, was very time efficient, clearly knew exactly what she was doing, and even wheeled me out to the car afterward. I truly appreciated her professionalism and care. Val checked me in, handled my payment, and brought such a positive energy to the experience. She is very funny and seems like a great person to work with. Dr. Koo is extremely talented. I consulted with other surgeons but did not fully agree with their approach based on the medical evidence presented. Dr. Koo took the time to thoroughly explain everything, including what the other surgeons had suggested, and provided medical data to support his recommendations. That truly shows his expertise and dedication to his patients. Thank you all for such a great experience!
