Powered by GoogleDr. Davies and her team were great with my wisdom tooth removal and I highly recommend them for this. However, the reason for the low rating is because the young woman at the front desk (the one who checks you in) is extremely rude every time I come in. The dentist is a scary place for some people, and she really is making it worse with her gross attitude. She acts as if it’s a chore to have to check me in for my appointment, even tho it’s her job… as well as being very passive aggressive. I would recommend this office for wisdom teeth removal surgery, I have had very little swelling even on day 1, but just beware of the front desk and try not to take it personally.
I love the professional doctors and most staff there. But there was one young front desk lady being very rude and ridiculous on my wisdom teeth extraction day. She kept saying that I called the office the day before the appointment to cancel it. And the fact is, I hadn’t made ANY phone call to ANYONE in the past 3 weeks. Even after I said at least 5 times that I DID NOT MAKE THIS PHONE CALL, she still claimed that I HAD MADE THE PHONE CALL when she was explaining to her colleagues just to blame everything on me, making me really speechless. The only solution she proposed was to reschedule the appointment to June (one month later), showing zero respect to people’s own time and personal arrangements. Thankfully, another nice lady at the front desk helped solve this issue and arrange me to have the surgery 2 hours later after my original appointment. And it was the doctors and nurses in the surgery rooms apologized to me about this issue. Other than this front desk lady, everyone was so nice and professional but her behavior was really disappointing.
I recently had a bonus wisdom tooth pop up (many years after getting the main ones removed) and start causing me a lot of pain very suddenly, and Pittsburgh Oral Surgery took really good care of me. I was able to get appointments quickly and everyone I interacted with was kind and competent, which I really appreciated during the stressful time. I had my tooth removed a few days ago and it’s healing up great!
As someone who doesn't consider a dentist's office my favorite place to be (and who would be a new patient), whoever I just spoke to over the phone at reception was rude, impatient, and acted like it killed her to even speak to me. Snappy with her responses, and I didn't even get anything sent to me regarding confirmation of appt. She had the worst attitude over the fact that I filled out a form online for contact...why is it on there then? Learn to be empathetic and kind to people, or don't work in this environment.
My visit to Pgh Oral Surgery was a very pleasant experience. Dr Davies did an amazing and pain free implant for me. And her assistant was great too. And the front end staff was so nice and helpful. I will definitely go back if I need something. Dr Davies is excellent!! And very kind and helpful.
