Just started going to Port City Dental, what a difference from previous dentist! The communication between care team members is wonderful and respectful! Dr. Zimm talks directly to you, not a screen or piece of paper. She takes her time to explain in plain terms what's happening amd what her plan moving forward is. Had some insurance issues that the front office worked with me and the insurance company to get ot all figured out. Great atmosphere and comfortable place to have dental work done. Would highly recommend.
Dr Brekke does excellent work! Regarding billing, they did not notify me that my preventive insurance was out of network, so my last regular appointment cost me way more than expected - I didn’t know about it until after the bill came. My insurance company says I should have been notified by the dentist’s office. Also, Mickey does a great job at cleaning teeth!
Always a great experience at Port City Dental. From being greeted when I arrive, the professional and personal care received, and dedication to ensuring I leave confident in the procedure I had. Plus the view can’t be beat!
My visit to Port City Dental was a great experience from start to finish! A special shout-out to Brenda, my hygienist. She is an EXPERT at her job. My teeth have never felt so clean.
Choose your dentist wisely; I had a bad experience with Dr. Brekke (zero stars), but Dr. Zimm was great (5 stars). Dr. Brekke started with fear appeals in an attempt to pressure me into purchasing a mouth guard (I already have a mouth guard that fits well and has caused no problems). Then, he was very heavy-handed and created temperature sensitivity problems on a tooth that previously had none. Then, he seated a crown that fit so poorly it should have been sent back to the lab. (Thankfully, Dr. Zimm did a wonderful job of replacing the poorly fitted crown with one that fit.) I switched dental clinics because of Dr. Brekke and the new clinic also unveiled that Dr. Brekke also wrongly claimed that I have cavities for which the new dentist could find no evidence of existence (the new clinic took a new x-ray free of charge and examined my teeth and still found no evidence of the cavities that Dr. Brekke said needed fillings).
