I had an upper left molar (#14) extracted during an emergency appointment by Dr. Koya yesterday. I was very anxious leading up to the procedure but Dr. Koya really took his time to first speak to me about the procedure and all of my options, and also what to expect. He did not at all dismiss my anxiety and was very patient with me. I had zero pain during the entire extraction process because they numb you up very well and he took his time to get out the tooth in one piece, which thankfully he did. The nurses assisting him were both very sweet and encouraging as well! Everyone was reassuring during the entire procedure. I’m so grateful they were able to take me in last minute and relieve me of the tooth pain I was experiencing. If you are anxious about extraction, please know that you are in great hands. I pray to never have to experience the tooth pain I was in and would prefer to not have to go through another extraction, but if I did, I wouldn’t be nearly as anxious next time around. The doctors here are truly experts at what they do while prioritizing patient comfort. Recovery has so far been very smooth and painless. Thank you Dr. Koya and the rest of the team!
My tooth extraction was done so quickly by Dr. Dumanis and his staff. He discussed with me the procedure and my options prior to the extraction. During the procedure, he was in constant communication with me and made sure I was ok. After the procedure, he called me personally to make sure I was doing alright. I was very happy with the whole process. The staff at the Skokie office were amazing. They were so pleasant and patient.
Dr Koya is an amazing Dr. He listens, provides helpful information to make an informed decision, polite, and professional. He’s surrounded by an amazing team. I would highly recommend him and his office to my family and friends!!
Wonderful experience getting a cavity-stricken wisdom tooth out with Dr. Koya. I was plenty numb, didn’t feel a thing as it pulled right out. Staff there is great with info and availability for post-op questions. They give you the prescriptions you need, though last time I didn’t even take the pain pills because I didn’t need them. This is my second extraction there and it’s been so easy each time I wouldn’t go elsewhere.
Can we add more stars to this rating? 5 stars is way too low! Dr Patel is amazing! Today was my son’s second surgery with Dr Patel. From the initial consultation months ago till today, Dr Patel has been friendly, thorough, empathetic, and detail oriented. We asked if our son’s IV could be placed in his left arm since he bowls for his high school team. Of course! I’m sure this info was charted, but Dr Patel made sure to mention the IV would go in the left arm again. I know this made my son happy and more at ease. Dr Patel’s “bedside manner” is top notch. Dr Patel is also skillful. Our son has only experienced slight bleeding after both surgeries. 4 compacted wisdom teeth were removed today and it’s currently 12 hours post op. Our son is feeling good. I would recommend Dr Patel to anyone and we thank him for his expertise and skill. The staff is also outstanding! Thank you all!
