It is impossible to speak with a receptionist, they do not return calls when they say they will. Also, I was told I did not have any remaining coverage on my dental plan, which I did not believe. She told me I could call the insurance myself, which I did. The insurance told me I had several thousands dollars left. Dealing with the front staff is beyond frustrating. Note, The new dentist Dr. B is patient and great. The hygienists are great slo. 5 stars for them.
This dental group is poorly organized and they do not care about their clients. I have gum issues, and had expressed concerns repeatedly about my gums. The hygienists always seem concerned as well, but the dentist (all of them) always tells me that I am fine, and that my smile looks great. However, I can see my gums receding, and I am young and take care of my teeth. I had to ask to be referred to a periodontist, who told me upon examination that one tooth was actually loose due to gum loss. I feel like the dentist should have made that observation. I had to grafting done my gums were so severe. In addition, they use every excuse in the book not to keep your appointment. I've also received notices for appointments I don't have. I've previously rearranged my schedule to make an appointment, only to arrive to tell me that due to illness, there is not a hygienist to see me. No phone call or anything. I show up 5 min late another time, and they won't see me. I show up in person to talk about my appointment today and to have my perio gel ordered for me, but I guess that doesn't count as confirming the appointment, nor did anyone know where the gel was. Oh, and they're booking into May. No one seemed to care that I was upset, nor did they care that I am leaving them as a client. They said it's "fine". Terrible customer service and bedside manner. I've been coming here for over a decade. I'm so disgusted.
I been going to preferred dental for few years to do my regular cleaning and Tina is been great she’s very professional, friendly and she care for her patients. The front desk staff is friendly and professional.
Dr Schulman is an Excellent Dentist. He is kind, companionate & gentle. My Hygienist, “Tina” is an incredibly talented Hygienist. The receptionist's are very helpfull with scheduling & any questions you may have about your treatment. I am very happy with Dr. Schulman & my Hygienist, Tina! I will definitely continue to go to Preferred Dental of Cromwell.
I went to this office for what I believed was a routine cleaning with my regular dental practice. At no point was I informed that the dentist seeing me was part of an entirely different practice and out of network with my insurance. I only discovered this afterward. There was no discussion, disclosure, or consent regarding this change, which is extremely concerning. This is very poor practice and a lack of transparency that patients deserve when making healthcare decisions.
