I’ve never written a bad review before — I usually leave only positive feedback — but my experience at Pristine Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with Dr. Garry Shnayder left me shocked, frustrated, and stressed. Before the doctor even came in, I explained my problem to the nurse. Instead of listening, she rudely told me not to tell her what to do and behaved dismissively. She insisted I needed a 3D X-ray, which I explained was unrelated to my issue and not covered by my insurance. Her rudeness and dismissive attitude made the visit very uncomfortable. When Dr. Shnayder came in, he insisted I still needed the X-ray, told me it was not covered by my insurance, and that I would have to pay out of pocket. I knew this X-ray was unnecessary for my situation, but I felt pressured and ended up paying for it anyway. Regarding the biopsy — the very reason I came to see him — Dr. Shnayder did not mention that it was not covered by insurance. He only said that they would send a request to my insurance, and that it would take about 3 weeks. When I contacted my insurance, I was told that this type of authorization usually takes just a few days. Yesterday, the doctor offered over the phone to do the biopsy for $595 next week, which felt pressuring and stressful despite the procedure being necessary. I waited 10 days for the biopsy authorization, calling multiple times, only to be ignored. Later, I discovered they never submitted it to my insurance, despite repeated promises. The doctor also promised I’d get an email with the insurance denial — nothing arrived. Returning to the office in person was another mistake. The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. They had no records and weren’t even aware of what the doctor had told me over the phone. The only positive interaction was with the young woman who scheduled my appointment — polite, professional, and clearly competent. I left this office feeling angry, unheard, and shocked at how poorly patients are treated. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this clinic. Patients deserve honesty, respect, and proper care — none of which are provided here.

My visit was great. Dr Shnayder extracted two teeth and did the prep work for three implants to follow. He and his entire staff are most professionnals. Strongly recommend

I came back to Dr. Garry Shnayder for another procedure, and once again it was the best experience. This is exactly why I returned … he is incredibly informative, has hands of gold, and is so gentle throughout the entire process. His staff is just as wonderful. Michelle, his coordinator, is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything so thoroughly you’d think she was the surgeon herself. My recovery was smooth and painless. Truly exceptional care from start to finish! Highly recommend.
