This was probably the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. They listened to all my concerns and created a plan with me to get everything resolved. I’ve had issues with previous dentist, including reading my Xray, but that was not the case here! They are very knowledgeable and super sweet!!
I have been going to River's Edge for several years. The reason for changing providers was that my previous dentist did not provide adequate care. Even with 6 month visits, flossing daily and brushing 2 twice daily. The result was compounded issues and the loss of 4 teeth. Over a number of visits my oral health got back on track. While not miracle workers Dr. Currie and staff are diligent, professional and pleasant. Sincerely, Dan.
My wife and I have been going to River’s Edge since it opened. First, the amazing location is overlooks the Missouri River toward Black Eagle. We both had our teeth cleaned today by Kelsey and saw a buck walk right in front of the picture window where we were sitting. Second, and more importantly, this is, without any doubt, the best dental office in Great Falls. Dr. David and his crew have the most modern equipment available . All the procedures I have had have been painless. The staff are helpful and friendly. My mother was treated by Dr. David and his father before him, Dr. Allan Currie. Dr. David’s mother was a wonderful dental hygienist. My mother died at age 103 and was treated at River’s Edge until she was 102. She loved everyone there because they always treated her with great respect and she knew her visits would be painless. If you’re looking for a new family dental facility, chose River’s Edge. Kids, adults and seniors will love the staff and the excellent dental care.
I was extremely disappointed with my recent exam here. I am new to Great Falls and was looking for a new dentist in the area. The front desk staff and Kelsey were extremely kind and welcoming, but Dr. Currie was condescending and presumptive about my oral hygiene/health. He made false assumptions about my hygiene habits without asking or checking my history; when I stood up for myself, saying I floss every night and have used a power toothbrush for over ten years, he questioned me and gave me incredulous looks. I went to my previous dentist over the holidays who assured me that most of my cavities, previously scrutinized by Dr. Currie, were in extremely stable condition from years prior, implying that I was doing a fantastic job at taking care of them. Dr. Currie also scrutinized how long it had been since my last dentist visit, directly commenting to me, "I was going to be mean and say you were one of those people, but I won't." I felt humiliated and degraded despite knowing I take great care of my teeth. I felt like I couldn't stand up for myself in the moment. Another odd interaction was his questioning about my mental health history, which had nothing to do with my teeth or oral health. It felt unprofessional and invasive while receiving degrading comments about my teeth. I left the office feeling very embarrassed. It's surprising to me that I had this experience after reading such great reviews, and makes me wonder why I was treated so differently from other customers. The icing on the cake was a bill I received in the mail for the cleaning services, when I was under the impression that this dentist was in my insurance network. I am surprised and taken-aback that as a new patient, the front desk staff would not inform me that they don't work with my dental insurance. An overall disappointing ending to a disappointing experience.
