Love this place.They really take care of me and have my teeth clean and sparkling! It’s 10 min from my house and I especially like Ms Wendy, she’s one the BEST dental hygienist I think I’ve ever met:) (also Katlyn) She’s very sweet, caring and informative. The front desk women are also amazing and kind, as well as doctor Zane.
I love this dental practice, from the basics, to helping me realize what the causes are of problems I'm having. My boyfriend and one of our friends also use this practice. The building is absolutely beautiful and calming. They schedule appointments right up to when they open at 8, for your convenience. The dental hygienists are very nice and they don't pressure you to get additional options such as fluoride (I'm very tight on cash, so I do it once a year instead of twice). One of the hygienists even made me realize that the reason my cheeks have a strange texture, which I thought was maybe from them not being clean enough, is because I have a very bad habit of chewing my cheeks that I hadn't even thought about, which I am now conscious of and correcting. I have permanent retainers on both my upper and lower front teeth and on the most recent visit, the hygienist used a flossing product on me that I'd never seen before. I haven't attempted to floss under the permanent retainer in years because all of the little tools that are out there just stab my gums and can't get in between my teeth, but she used one that actually worked and had minimal stabbing, so I'm definitely going to be getting those. I also got an electric toothbrush as is suggested by every dentist ever for my entire life.
The staff is super friendly, they care about their patients and make you feel at ease. Especially, if you are someone like me, who is terrified of having dental work done. They strive to fit your individual needs and make you feel valued. My hygienist, Kaitlyn, is always very gentle with my teeth and considerate of my concerns. Her bedside manner is top notch. She is very thorough in answering any question I have and always makes sure I am comfortable. I drive 2.5 hours to have her work on my teeth because I don’t feel stressed out before going to the dentist anymore. She loves her profession and it shows. And Dr. Zane, well is just as wonderful as her. He is knowledgeable, caring, and makes you feel valued and not just a number. He made me feel at home and not petrified to go to the dentist anymore. I will continue my 2.5hr drive every time for the quality dental care Serene Smiles provides.
I had a great first experience at Serene Smiles! I left my previous dental office for many reasons, and this was the complete opposite! My hygienist, Kaitlyn, was phenomenal in every way. She is delightful and sweet, and for the first time ever, someone took the time to explain things to me in depth, and answer all my questions. I also loved Doctor Zain, who was equally thorough. I’m so glad I found Serene Smiles!
Let me start by saying that I love the dentist himself. He’s very patient and kind. But the rest of the office struggles with accountability and integrity. I was billed $600 (after insurance) for cavities being filled. I paid it (I know my insurance sucks), then later at my next appt was told I needed to pay yet another $200 or so. I already have a lot of dental anxiety so tack on additional unnecessary stressors brought me to tears. Then at that follow up appt I’d mentioned pain in one of the teeth that was new since my fillings and the hygienist and dentist both said I can get that cavity redone free of charge if the pain doesn’t resolve. I gave it month without improvement so I made the appt. It was re-done and now I just received a bill for $110 in the mail. I called and they now claim it was NOT a previous cavity this office had filled which is why they billed my insurance but that they’ll “write off the balance”. I shouldn’t be charged anything for them fixing it and neither should my insurance to be honest. I’m so irritated that I love the dentist but all of the issues with the office I’m now looking for another dentist. It’s a shame because this office had such great reviews and I have crippling dental anxiety. If you have dental anxiety, I don’t recommend this office. Save yourself the headache.
