About the Practice
Dr. John Siegmund became the new owner of Shores Family Dentistry in 1985 and worked to build a successful private practice in Fort Collins. He built and moved to a new facility on Boardwalk Dr. in 1994 where we still practice today. The office overlooks Harmony Pond featuring large windows in the treatment rooms. Patients, in what could be a stressful setting, get to relax and enjoy the view of the pond, the birds, and wildlife. Dr. Sara Megna became a partner at Shores in 2020 and then became a sole owner in January 1, 2022 after Dr. Siegmund's retirement of 40 years of practicing dentistry. He felt that he found the perfect dentist to give the same qualtiy of care that he had provided to his patients over the many years. Although, some new faces at the office, we still have the same hygiene team that has been giving our patients quality care for many, many years. We pride ourselves in comprehensive, conservative, and loving care to our patients. We also believe in working together as a team to make your experience at Shores a positve one. We value you if you have been a loyal patient for many years and we look forward to meeting you if you are joining the practice!

Shores is always nice and wonderful. They always take could care of me. I appreciate them so much and especially their communication! Dr. Burns was so informative and helpful. She gave me a plan on prioritizing upcoming cavities and crowns. She listened and since I am a planner, she exceeded my expectations.
The fact that I’m logging in to leave a review for a dentist office should be proof alone how great this place is! I waited far too long to find a dentist and can’t tell ya loud enough how happy I am to have been recommend this group. Partnered with me on a plan to get my teeth healthy and back on track. Walked me through all the options and talked pros and cons of it all. Add in the day before my first appointment we had a family emergency and they rescheduled me no problem and no charge. Just quality people from check in to check out! Can’t go as far to say I’m excited to go back but that’s more a me thing than them haha. Thanks to the entire team

The hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and very gentle in her cleaning. She also educated me regarding a couple of areas.I need to pay attention to. The primary dentist it's just exceptional. She has a soft touch, but she is extremely thorough. I would highly recommend Shores Dentistry to anyone....5 stars
Horrible experiene.Went to them last month with terrible dental pain.They x-rayed and said I needed the tooth pulled.They handed me a piece of paper and said I need to go to an oral surgeon for $750.00 to have the tooth pulled.They did NOTHING to help me with pain.I paid them $475.00 for their dental plan which was supposed to cover Dental exam ,cleaning and x-rays. I went to another dentist that day and they pulled my tooth.I made an appointment with Shores to have my teeth cleaned on 11-14-25.They told me I needed a deep cleaning and unless I paid more than the $475.00 ,they wouldn't clean my teeth because they could lose their license.They said I could talk to the office manager but she's not available . This was a wonderful dental practice when Dr Siegmund was there.He never let a patient suffer.This practice cares about money. They knew when they sold me the plan that I needed a deep cleaning but they didn't tell me.
