Dr. Sima is an absolute lifesaver — I’m only 2 weeks out from my gum graft and already SO happy I chose him! About a month ago I had a deep cavity filled at another office, and right after the procedure a huge piece of my gum just vanished around that tooth. The root was completely exposed — every breath of cold air, sip of water, or brush stroke was pure torture, and I was mortified by how it looked. I was miserable. I called Dr. Sima’s office and when I saw him he instantly knew what went wrong with the previous filling, explained everything so clearly, and scheduled my gum graft right away — I didn’t have to wait weeks in pain. The grafting surgery itself (just 2 weeks ago) was way easier than I feared. Dr. Sima and his team kept me completely comfortable.Recovery has been smooth — I followed his instructions to the letter and the discomfort was minimal. Even at only 2 weeks post-op, the grafted area already looks amazing, the horrible sensitivity is basically gone, and I can tell it’s only going to get better. If you’re dealing with receding gums or sensitivity talk to Dr. Sima. He’s incredibly skilled, genuinely caring, and his staff is wonderful. Thank you, Dr. Sima — you turned a nightmare situation around so fast!
I was very concerned when I moved from New York City if I would get the quality of care I was used to and needed. Having had major dental issues in the past from bone grafts to a few implants. In addition to Perio maintenance now. After two failed attempts with two other Perio dentists here in Reno. I was so thankful I found Sierra Nevada Periodontics and Implant Dentistry! They have a NEW state of the Art facility, with all the new state of the art equipment. Not to mention the polite, friendly and very professional staff from Heather at the front desk, Solomon the office Manager and Donna the hygienist. I have never been treated so well. Dr Amy French is FANTASTIC!!! She explains the issue you have and walks you through what needs to be done. Then there is what I call “The Happy Pill”. Take that two hours before your procedure, someone will have to drive you and bring you home but the bottom line is if you’re afraid of going to the dentist like most of us are…”The Happy Pill”, will make everything smooth and you will not be nervous at all! I am so Grateful to Dr. Amy French and the other two Doctors at this facility, Dr. Sima and Dr. Burnham, each brings a unique speciality of care for ANY dental issue that might be needed. They have me covered. From tooth extractions, bone grafts, skin grafts, implants, to tissue rejuvenation, I have had them all! Not to mentioned they are up to date on the latest dental techniques and procedures! I am in the BEST OF CARE and you will be too! I am just unfortunate I am plagued with bad teeth but at least Sierra Nevada Periodontics, I will not be putting my teeth in a glass of water at night!😁☺️
Going to a dentist is one of my worst fears. The folks at Sierra Nevada Periodontics took all of my fear away. Each person that I came in contact with was kind, professional, efficient and friendly. I especially liked Dr. Burnham when explained things so that I could understand and was extremely gentle with my very painful mouth. Great place!
I walked in TERRIFIED 2 years ago having seen literally 4 other periodontists. Dr French provided comfort, hope, innovative medicine, expert care, and a staff that is like no other I have ever seen. They called me back after hours when I was stressed about infection, they dealt with my anxious voicemails, and they know me when I walk in for a cleaning. There is a gentleman and a woman at the front desk who know patients personally, it matters. This office has changed my experience and outlook on dental care. I even had my treatments done once by the other male doctor in her office and I noticed a difference. Dr French is INCREDIBLE. Her hygienist staff is kind and thoughtful and Donna even gave me a call back after hours to recommend a general dentist in my area after she personally did some research. This is the best healthcare provider I've ever had.
I can’t say enough good about Dr Sima. The gum repair he performed was flawless and not an ounce of pain after. I had had the surgery before and it failed. I wait 10 years to try again and I’m glad I did. I looks beautiful, you can’t even tell there was recession there. I was incredibly nervous, he and his staff were so kind. They put me at ease and I ended up with perfect results. Thank you!
