About the Practice
Smart On X, (originally established as Smart Denture Conversions in 2019), was founded to address the limitations of conventional denture conversions. Dr. Brandon Kofford, DMD, MS, FACP, a Board-Certified Prosthodontist, spearheaded the development of the Smart Denture Conversion technique, offering a revolutionary solution for both patients and practitioners. Our innovative approach quickly demonstrated unparalleled benefits. Patients enjoyed superior aesthetics and significantly reduced wait times for provisional dentures. For practitioners, the technique meant a dramatic reduction in chair time while achieving optimal occlusions and structural integrity. Smart Denture Conversions rapidly gained recognition within the dental industry. Practitioners embraced the technique for its efficiency and effectiveness, resulting in increased productivity and enhanced patient satisfaction. Today, Smart On X continues to lead the field with cutting-edge solutions that redefine the standard of dental care. Since 2019, Smart Denture Conversions has experienced exponential growth, allowing the team to innovate more products for dental practitioners. In 2024, we announced that Smart Denture Conversions would become a product line underneath the new, Smart On X umbrella, a name which allows us to innovate products used throughout the entire full arch fixed procedure. Smart On X is based in Apex, North Carolina and is privately owned.

Apex Family Dentistry personnel are always courteous, thorough and professional. They have been successful in meeting our dentistry needs and always take the time to thoroughly explain conditions and options. When we were new in the area, we contacted three local practices. Apex Family Dentistry was the only practice willing to accepted us as patients and also meet our scheduling requirements. Donna and I highly recommend this Practice.
Always outstanding dental care… The real genius behind their business model is that their in network premium is slightly higher, but their long-term total cost to patients is much lower because they’re not you typical dental practice… They do only what is needed to keep patient (and insurer) costs low…. I’ve been there 7 years and have never had better care, and never spent less… 6 stars…
Had my initial/new patient visit this morning. I am very pleased. They were very professional in establishing the details of my particular dental condition. Holly the hygienist was friendly and very thorough. Dr. Miller reviewed everything with me explaining both immediate and future needs. The exam and consult ran a bit long so they asked if it was possible to reschedule the cleaning at my convenience. This was handled without problem. I would also like to mention how genuinely nice and helpful Christa and Gabby are out front. My initial impression is hugely positive! 11/18 Had my cleaning this morning. Taken right in on time. Without question the most thorough cleaning I have ever had. Holly did an outstanding job. Got with Gabby about a 6 week follow up and my 6 month cleaning. She let me know up front what my benefits covered which was helpful. Very pleased with my choice for a new dentist and am very comfortable recommending them.
Very friendly staff very competent staff. The office is clean, welcoming and ready for business. Every Dr is knowledgeable and very nice very friendly. Their staff goes overboard to make you feel welcome and comforted. I have been going to this practice for 25 years and I would not change a thing about them. They are perfect.
I had dental cleaning done this afternoon. My hygienist is excellent! She takes time and does very thorough job! I always feel my teeth are very clean afterwards. Drs are very professional and have great bedside manners. All staff are very polite and I feel comfortable going to this office.
