The staff are wonderful. The office is very clean and lovely. The entire staff is very compassionate and goes above & beyond to make you feel comfortable. I haven't gone to the dentist in years, due to PTSD. But with Smile Suite, I've already scheduled my next cleaning!
Wow, we are a family of four who used to be clients at Smile Suite, we had a change in insurance and moved across island so had to change our primary dentist to someone else. After several years we are now back on this side of the island so I phoned Dr Girard to get my family scheduled back at Smile Suite and was informed by the receptionist that she spoke with the doctor about us returning and that he said “the don’t allow for previous clients to return once leaving their practice”. What?! Are you serious??? We have been previous, established, paying customers and you won’t allow people to return?! What a way to treat past customers of yours, on a small island. No customer service and no aloha. Knowing what I know now I wouldn’t return even if you asked us. And don’t think he just did this to my family, this is their “policy”. I asked if they were “full” and was told “no we aren’t full, we are accepting new patients” just not patients who paid them money previously. From one business owner to another, you may want to consider updating your policies 😉
By far the best dental office on Maui! I've been coming here for almost a decade now. Camilla is an amazing dental hygienist and Dr. Todd is very thorough and professional. The office is super clean and the staff are really friendly and efficient.
Complete failure! Didn't even make it to my 1st office visit. Day prior to appointment @ 9:00am received phone message from office to call them back to confirm “tomorrows apt.”. Returned call @ 12:30pm “yes, I’ll be there”. THEN at 3:45, I receive a call “if I can reschedule or come in at 1pm because doctor needs to leave early! What they don't realize is, it’s difficult to get off of work for a scheduled appointment. Now, less than 24 hours prior to appointment you need to change it?! (If I cancel with less then 24 hours, I'm sure they would charge me). I replied "I can't make in at 1pm and no rescheduling is needed". Dr.Girard, Thank you for your response and I understand things happen. However, being you're a husband and wife practice and "value all of our patients time" your office could have squeeze me in with the other dentist, especially how hard it is for the everyday working person to get off.
Dr Girard and his staff are nothing short of amazing. My mother had poor dental work done on the mainland. She has been on a road to correct the work with Dr Girard, he is kind, patient and has pretty much held my mother's hand through this very difficult time. He corrected what he could of the dental work as it was so bad she had to see a specialist to correct the rest. By far the best on island no one else to compares. No one wants to have oral work done, but when you do it helps to have a kind staff to make you feel at ease. Exceptional service and work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
