As someone who gets major anxiety about the dentist, Dr. Nelson has been such a game changer. He and his team are extremely gentle and walk you through each step and explain what they're doing. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

After six years with this practice, my trust was completely eroded due to a series of painful and disappointing experiences, particularly during recent visits. The issues began in April 2025 during a filling procedure, when I clearly indicated that I was not numb enough for the injection. Instead of immediately stopping to provide more numbing gel, my discomfort was dismissed, and I was told to hold still. After demanding that he stop because he was hurting me, Dr. Nelson then stated the he “knew how much numbing was needed for patients,” despite the fact that every patient’s body is different. This lack of individualized care was not only unhelpful but harmful. Post-procedure, the filling was also improperly adjusted, and despite several follow-up visits and subsequent adjustments, I was left in severe pain from a malocclusion. When I repeatedly tried to express what I was feeling, my concerns were brushed aside with Dr. Nelson emphasizing that he had "been doing this every day for years, and never had such problems with other patients." This statement disrespectfully invalidated not only my lived experience but also my own extensive medical knowledge and understanding of my mouth. What was most upsetting, however, was when I returned two months later in June 2025 still in pain, he stated before he had even examined my mouth, that there was "nothing more he could do." When I frustratingly expressed that I felt he was not making a meaningful effort to alleviate my pain, he then accused me of being offensive and verbally abusive towards him, claiming that he “cares deeply” about his patients. Care is not just a claim—it is shown through action, empathy, and most importantly, a willingness to listen. He quickly referred me out to a prosthodontist, and after five subsequent dental visits (including the prosthodontist which costed $750) my bite has not been able to be comfortably realigned; as such I will now need orthodontics to fix. To be fair, I want to acknowledge that both Morgan (dental assistant), Suzanne (hygienist), and Doris (Front desk) were consistently kind, professional, and attentive. Their care has always been exceptional. However overall, I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking a collaborative, respectful partnership in their dental care. Being heard and believed matters, and that was not my experience with Dr. Nelson.

I was from out of town and I had an emergency extraction I needed done. I was in so much pain, the Staff and Dr were truly a blessing and took care of me very well. They took the time to care and take care of me and I truly appreciated that. So, from my experience I had they truly were an amazing Dentist Office, friendly, caring and had so much empathy and made my office visit amazing and most of all took away the pain and got back to my Daughters Softball Tournament. Thank you all Again, Torres Family God Bless You All
