I had an 8:00 AM cleaning appointment today at Southeastern Dental, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. On Thursday, the office called to remind me of my appointment. During that call, I informed the associate that my insurance had changed and provided all of my updated information. She told me she would verify my out-of-network benefits and call me back with the cost before my appointment. I never received that follow-up call. When I arrived this morning, the woman at the front desk told me I no longer had insurance. I explained that I did have active insurance and had already provided the updated information. She then told me my visit would be “well over $300.” I told her there was no way I would agree to that so she reached our to a coworker to verify coverage. She reached out to a coworker to determine the cost. I even showed her a screenshot from my insurance portal stating that preventive care is covered 100% out-of-network. I was asked to take a seat. At 8:15, I was called back to the front desk and told they would need to cancel my appointment because they still did not have insurance verification. I was offered two alternative appointment times that conflicted with my schedule, and the next available appointment after that was June 29 — four months away. That is essentially skipping a cleaning altogether. While rescheduling, insurance verification finally came through. I asked if I could still be seen since it was only 20 minutes past my appointment time. The front desk associate asked the hygienist, who said no. This situation was not caused by me. Had the office followed up as promised when I provided my updated insurance information, this could have been avoided. I took time off work to be there for my scheduled appointment, only to be turned away due to their lack of follow-through. This was unacceptable and demonstrated very poor customer service.
I went to Southeastern Dental Specialists to remove 4 of my wisdom teeth under anesthesia and I couldn’t have went to a better place. The receptionists were super helpful and welcoming. The assistants were amazing and thorough with all the questions I had, and the doctor Bhushan was amazing. Came in and was ready to work efficiently. The anesthesiologist was also very delightful and make me feel comfortable. Everything was set up and I was told that the IV sedation was going to start and I was out not even 30 seconds after and the next thing I remember is waking up and the procedure was done and they were already coming with the wheel chair to get me out. I got all four wisdom teeth removed with two of them impacted and two not even visible in the mouth yet, and I was done in 45 minutes. My healing process was quick and I didn’t swell the way I thought I was going too. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend anyone close to me to get their wisdom teeth checked out and removed at Southeastern Dental Specialists
Amazing!!! I had 3 wisdom teeth removed and I was in and out of there within an hour. Everything from the front desk personnel to the nurses, to the doctor was smooth and detailed. Best part? No pain or swelling after the procedure. Thank you southeastern!
I’ve been going to the dentist for a long time, and I can honestly say April is the best dental hygienist I’ve ever had. From the moment she walks into the room, she’s professional, polite, and genuinely kind, the kind of person who immediately puts you at ease. What really sets April apart is her attention to detail. She’s an absolute perfectionist in the best way possible. She takes her time, explains what she’s doing when needed, and makes sure everything is done right, not rushed. You can tell she truly cares about her work and about her patients. On top of that, she keeps the appointment light and comfortable, which makes a huge difference for anyone who doesn’t love dental visits. I’ve left every appointment feeling confident in the care I received and grateful that she was the one working on me and I'll do everything in my power to keep it that way.
I received excellent care from, "Deja", and the Oral Sugeon. I arrived Smart & Early for my appt. Deja was Polite and Kind - Getting Both x-rays + CT Scans. I Greatly Appreciate the Care I received - AND, I look forward to my future visit At SE Dental. Deja and the Doctor took time to explain my next steps - To Include The Oral Procedure involved. This included The Anesthesia. I am happy that I get excellent care, At SE Dental. R.K.M.
