StarBrite Dental, the office of award-winning Dr. Maryam Seifi, in Rockville, MD, is a premier dental practice established by Dr. Seifi in 1990 to provide patients with the highest-quality dental care possible, with sincerity and friendliness. StarBrite Dental's founder, Dr. Maryam Seifi, earned her bachelor's in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1986. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1990. She is also a diplomate of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy. Known for her compassionate nature and uncompromising technical standards, Dr. Seifi has been honored with awards for excellence in dentistry including the 2015 Doctors' Choice National Award and 2019 Top 200 Dentists Award. StarBrite Dental itself has twice earned a spot on Angie's List Excellence in Customer Service award. Great experience overall. The staff was very friendly and everything went smoothly. I especially want to thank Dr. Cherise Jackson, she was very careful and really kind during the whole appointment. She made me feel comfortable the entire time. Definitely recommend this place!
The office decor was beautiful, receptionist was pleasant. Mr. Palomino was excellent in gathering my prior dental history and my current meds. Dr. Maryam Seifi was super outstanding. Discussed my options fully allowing me to choose without any pressure.
I give this place a 5 star because I was able to tell from the moment I walked in that they care. They explain everything step by step. During my cleaning the hygienist explained everything that he did also give me a lot of knowledge about flossing my teeth. They also mademe feel so comfortable especially during my root canal ( I was soo nervous). But it was not bad at all. I would def recommend coming here. Lastly , front desk ladies are very nice and helpful

Horrible experience. UPDATE: This visit occurred this past week (January 26–30, 2026) Referring to it as “from some time ago” is inaccurate. Dismissing the timing of my visit rather than directly addressing the misdiagnosis and the pressure to proceed is exactly why patients should seek second opinions before agreeing to major treatment. I went to Starbrite and was told I had an infection on one tooth and that I urgently needed a root canal on another.. That diagnosis didn’t feel right, so I sought second opinions. I saw two other dentists, and both confirmed that I did not have an infection and did not need a root canal or the treatment Starbrite was insisting on. The appointment felt very pressured. When I didn’t immediately agree to move forward, the dentist seemed annoyed, and the conversation quickly turned to payment plans. It felt like they wanted a commitment on the spot rather than allowing time to think or get another opinion. I was quoted around $10,000, which was significantly higher than other practices in the area. I ultimately went elsewhere and received a much more reasonable and honest assessment. After my experience and reading through other reviews, there seems to be a pattern of patients feeling rushed into expensive treatment and incorrect diagnosis. Credentials and reputation mean nothing if patients are being pressured into unnecessary and expensive procedures. Always get a second opinion.
