Syracuse Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Cunningham – North Syracuse Office I do not recommend this office and will not be returning. I had an appointment scheduled for an implant consultation and waited a total of 80 minutes without ever being seen. There was no apology or even an acknowledgement of their delay. I arrived 10 minutes early, as instructed, to handle paperwork, but still ended up waiting 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time in the waiting room. Once taken to the consultation room, I was left alone for an additional 40 minutes. Eventually, I had to leave without receiving the consultation to return to work. A few years ago, I had an extraction at this office and wasn't particularly impressed then either. I only gave them another chance because my regular dentist, whom I greatly respect, strongly recommended them. Furthermore, I found the office atmosphere unprofessional, as there was a constant buzz of staff engaging in non-work-related conversations. The office itself felt outdated, shabby, and cheaply maintained—like it hadn't received a significant update since approximately 1985. The sight of a Harbor Freight tool cabinet being used to store medical supplies did little to inspire confidence or enhance the professional image. Overall, a disappointing experience from start to finish.

It was a pleasant experience at this location. During my entire procedure the dentists and dental assistants were professional. The entire office made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the visit. About halfway through the procedure I asked if any of them knew any good dental jokes. Each of them made me laugh. But I couldn't because I wasn't able to during the procedure. 😂 Btw... Q: What is the best time to go to the dentist? A: Tooth thirty 🤣 Thanks you Syracuse Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery!

10/19/25: Updated Review: Had a second set of work done at this office this past week and am just as impressed as I was when I came last year. Procedure went as smooth as could be and my after surgery pain has been very very minimal. Thank you all again! 🙏 Super impressed with this office and the work of Dr. Cunningham. I had work done a few days ago and I'm shocked at how little pain I am in, just three days later. Post OP instructions for at home were clear as well and the office has been responsive every step of the way for any questions that may pop up. Everyone was beyond friendly and encouraging. This was huge, as I have a bit of dental anxiety and needed to be put under for the first time. Really appreciated that kindness a ton. Definitely recommend this practice to others! I know I won't be going anywhere else is any further work is needed down the road.

Was in incredible pain with a broken wisdom tooth, they got me in for a check the same day and extraction the next day. Everywhere else was scheduling months out. The operation went quickly and as good as a wisdom tooth extraction can, and I was immediately feeling better and recovering.

Recently had my wisdom teeth removed and had a great surgery. Recently went for a follow up appointment for some drainage coming out of the socket. Was told that there was nothing wrong. The drainage continued and went to the my normal dentist the next day to learn that I had infection that was ignored the previous day.
