I thought my kids were going to see an actual dentist. This location on Ryan st doesn’t have a dentist just an assistant, who should not be practicing without an accompanying dentist. One of my children couldn’t get his teeth clean because he is special needs and the assistant was afraid to touch him and she referred us to Lafayette. I do not recommend this dentistry to anyone.
❌️BEWARE❌️BEWARE❌️BEWARE I called to schedule an appointment for my three year olds FIRST ever dentist appointment. When they were able to schedule him for only 5 days away, I was excited. That quickly turned to concern...cause all other dentist take MONTHS! Kinda seemed like i needed to look into why theyre so open on the books. I decided to check reviews. Glad I did that! Lord have mercy! I quickly called and canceled. While on the call to cancel, I realized from the questions she was asking about my older kids (which was also kinda odd) thatit was THE OLD KOOL SMILES!!!!!! yall! That place is the REASON my kids have dentist trauma!! That's a whole other story that I'll spare you! Once I realized that, I was like ABSOLUTELY NOT! NO WONDER THE REVIEWS ARE SO BAD!! Since that day, their phone service has called me at least 4 times (probably more, I just don't answer unknown numbers) within a 2 week span asking me to reschedule!! I'm very clear with them every time. No I am not interested in using this place, please stop calling me. Just for them to call back in a couple days!!! I dont understand how this place has remained open! I wasn't going to even write a review, cause seems like there are already plenty to be ready, but I'm so aggravated with this place and technically, we haven't even used them!
If I could give 0 stars to make this review I would. You guys should be SUED! My brother went in for a tooth that needed to be pulled due to infection. His next appointment was going to be his wisdom teeth.. Which from what I know of.. Did not need to be pulled. Instead you did it all without talking to him or our mother. First of all the infection could easily spread since you guys decided it was so smart to do everything all at once. And his wisdom teeth weren't grown in so he should have been put under anesthesia... Instead you gassed him up and and dug around in his gums to pull them out. He told us he was crying and screaming and you did nothing except keep pulling and digging.
I had an appointment for my kids today, and I have private insurance. They use a third party to verify eligibility, and requested we give them information a week in advance. We did. When we showed up, the lady at the front desk was rude, and did not believe we had coverage because they couldn’t find it… I called my insurance and verified, then called their third party (who was surprisingly nice) and verified that my insurance was covered. By this point, they canceled my girls appointments and rudely asked us to leave. After reading reviews, we were probably saved from a traumatic experience. If their dentists and hygienists are anything like their front office, this place is doomed. I hope the take this feedback and do something different.
Fantastic work. I have had to redo all paperwork each time I go, as if they don’t keep records, so that’s a little odd… and they changed my appointment time the day of without asking, so that’s was really frustrating.
