My wife’s wisdom teeth were starting to cause pain and her cheek got swollen so we had to find an oral surgeon who would take her immediately. We were so fortunate to find University Oral Surgery. Veronica the surgical assistant is so incredible and helped us get a first morning appointment the following day with Dr. Shabtaie, the oral/maxillofacial surgeon. What an amazing staff they have here! Dr Shabtaie is a staff member of UCLA Medical Ctr, as well as a clinical instructor, dental school graduate and residency graduate of UCLA. I believe he’s been in practice at this Westwood office for over 2 decades. Dr. Shabtaie was friendly, professional and explained all the options to us so well. We knew we were in great hands. He always put my wife’s well being first, and advised only the upper wisdom teeth be removed after closely examining the CT scan. They used IV sedation and Veronica put my wife at ease during the prep with her friendly conversation. IThe entire procedure only took about 45 mins and my wife didn’t even know the case had started due to the amnesia effects of the IV sedative. She was really anxious going in, but so relieved and happy when it was all said and done. Later that afternoon the office even called us to make sure my wife was doing ok and if we had any issues. Thank you so much to Dr. Shabtaie, Veronica and the entire staff for how you cared for us. 😊🙏
I had the best experience! I had to have an extraction and an implant. So 3 procedures in all over about 6 months. Every step of the way was amazing, both from the level of care to the bedside manner of all involved. I always felt informed, at ease and completely understood what was happening and what I could expect. Every procedure went off without a hitch and the recovery time was very fast and painless. It was just an all around pleasure - which is odd to say when having a tooth pulled and replaced with an implant! I would recommend to anyone.
Dr. Ramin Shabtaie is knowledgeable, skilled and kind. We have been so fortunate to have him as our oral surgeon for our daughter recently. He was my oral surgeon about 15 years ago too! The office staff is friendly and accommodates you. Highly recommend Dr. Shabtaie.
I definitely came in to my initial consultation with some anxiety and nervousness, having heard horror stories from others about getting wisdom teeth extracted, especially as an adult. But I was so very pleasantly surprised at how minimal the pain was after having all four wisdom teeth extracted at University Oral Surgery. Dr. Shabtaie is so skilled and all the staff were very professional and caring throughout the whole process, answering my many questions. I have already recommended their services to two other friends who need to have dental surgery! They will take very good care of you and make the process as painless as possible.
Loved my experience with the Dr. and his team! They were all very professional and kind! I felt well-taken care of the entire time, never had to wait much because they are so organized. I had all my wisdom teeth removed and the process was super easy, recovery was great, I even received a call from the office asking me if I was doing my rinses. Highly recommend!!!
