Like many people, I deal with periodontal disease and spent a few years at a “big billboard” dental office. I left feeling rushed, upsold, and still dealing with worsening issues—so I knew I needed a periodontist I could truly trust. I’m so glad I found Dr. Alex Bankhead at Utah Valley Periodontics and Dental Implants. The office is pristine, and I was greeted warmly by LeAnn, who was genuinely welcoming and incredibly professional. My wait was only a couple of minutes, and Dr. Bankhead took real time with me—over 45 minutes—answering every question and explaining options clearly. He’s experienced, thorough, and focused on saving teeth and improving gum health (not selling extras). He even followed up by email when I had questions, which meant a lot. In just the last two months, my gums and teeth have improved significantly. I can’t remember being treated by any doctor with this level of professionalism, courtesy, and care. Dr. Bankhead and his team (including LeAnn, Kandra, and the hygienist Anna) are outstanding. Highly recommend.
These guys are the best! Even their fresh-made-in-house frozen yogurt is outstanding and mouth-comforting. Today was my 2-week checkup following emergency tooth extraction and placement of the dental implant. Everything looks good, as usual. This was my fourth implant in 3 years, and I’ll never go anywhere else. My special thanks to everyone: Dr. Sandak, Lee Ann, Kandra, McKay, Sabrina, and the on-call anesthesiologist. What a great team!
Wonderful staff! Always friendly and kind.. I had graphing on my gum and was truly ignorant of what was happening to my mouth. I was educated on how to best prevent these issues in the future. After procedure, it took time and much discomfort to ultimately have my gums back to normal. I am still so impressed by the talent and kindness. I would refer this highly qualified Periodontist and his quarterback team with my mouth any time.

Dr. Bankhead and his staff are the best!! I definitely am one lucky guy! Yes, I was that patient that was terrified about getting my teeth cleaned or to have any type of mouth procedure done. Now it something I look forward to. Instead of every 6 months I book a cleaning every quarter. The staff is like family. Extremely compassionate and lots of fun! I know, crazy but true.
