IF I COULD LEAVE NO STARS, I WOULD! I took my resident to this office because of a referral we received. We traveled far for this visit. The staff member who took us back to our room was very kind and very patient with us. My resident required special assistance because they are vision impaired. When Dr. Valentine first came into our exam room, he seemed kind as well. However, as the visit went on, things took a turn. He became frustrated when my resident did not understand what he was saying to them (even though honestly, I did not either because it was not in layman's terms) He used some profanity when speaking & spoke rudely when my resident asked any questions. He tried to "demonstrate" how to brush their teeth with a toothbrush, and did hand-over-hand brushing. He did not wet the brush so after the brushing, there was a good amount of blood on the brush. When the appointment was over, my resident was in complete tears and was upset about how they were treated. As a caretaker, I would NEVER recommend bringing any loved ones into this office! Thank you to the ONE staff member who showed us patience and compassion, but as for Dr. Valentine, I would never recommend this office to anybody, actually I will now recommend they stay away completely!
I had a gum graft procedure yesterday and my dentist recommended Dr. Valentine. This is my second gum graft I have had done (Dr. Valentine did not work on my first graft). I was nervous at first knowing I had to had this done a second time. He and his assistant made me feel comfortable throughout the whole procedure. When I needed a break because I felt nauseous, he left me take my time before working on me again. His assistant also walked me out to the car to make sure I got in safe. Dr. Valentine also called me to see how things were going after the procedure. Wonderful caring doctor and I highly recommend. His staff is also wonderful.
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Valentine and his staff. He takes the time to explain the problem and the solution to you using terms that you can understand. He is super down to earth about it all and you can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients. I can say that this is the first doctor in my entire life that has ever called me personally from his cell phone one day post op to see how I was feeling. That level of patient care doesn’t happen anywhere, except with Dr. Valentine! Highly recommend.
I received the highest level of care from Dr.Valentine and his staff. Procedure,costs,and postoperative care were all presented in writing. I appreciated the follow up call from Dr.Valentine. This was truly medical care at its best. Special thanks to Judy as well.
If you are in the Erie area and need a gum graft done or any other work by a periodontist, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Valentine! I had a gum graft done by him a week ago and he made the experience so easy, the procedure itself painless, and minimal pain and discomfort during the first week post-op. This is saying a lot, because I had a gum graft done previously in 2015 (by a different Periodontist in Erie) and it was the worst experience of my life. The procedure was so painful as well as the recovery. I swore I would never put myself through it again unless I was put completely out. I was told that I’d never have to worry about my gums in that area again, yet here I am 7 years later getting a second gum graft in the exact same area. Dr. Valentine eased my anxiety at my initial consultation with him and assured me that I would not have that same experience with him as I did previously with the other Periodontist. Right off the bat, he made me feel so confident in my decision to go with him. He promised that I would have zero pain during the procedure, and he kept that promise. During the procedure, Dr. Valentine asked many times if I was okay and assured me I was doing great and everything was going perfectly. I went back for my first follow up today and he said everything is looking great. I feel so confident that I will never have to worry about gum recession in this same area again but, if I ever do need to have grafting work done on any other teeth, I can promise you I will be calling Dr. Valentine!
