This was our second experience with wisdom teeth removal at this practice, and once again, everything went seamlessly. From the initial consultation through surgery day, Dr. Strickland and his entire team were exceptional. They provided thorough, easy-to-understand information about the procedure, along with clear pre- and post-operative instructions. Dr. Strickland took the time to ensure both of my children and I felt completely comfortable and confident every step of the way. What truly sets this practice apart is the personal care. Dr. Strickland called personally the evening of the surgery to check on my child and answer any questions. That level of attentiveness speaks volumes. I highly recommend Dr. Strickland and his staff. They are professional, kind, and genuinely caring. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

Usually not one to post reviews but my experience with Dr. Strickland was so awful, I feel compelled to write one. I had my lower left wisdom tooth removed on 1/20 - I went in for a consultation the same day and by the afternoon the office had called to let me know they could operate on me the same day. I just had to get there by 3pm because the office closed at 4pm. I was given local anesthesia because I had a protein shake earlier in the day. I was ok with this as I’ve experienced numbing shots before and have had dental work done with no issues in the past. When I went in, Dr. Strickland gave me the numbing shots, which hurt badly, like they never had before. After the shots he told me we would give it some time to numb. I was left with one of the assistants who after a few minutes asked if I was numb, to which I replied I was not. When Dr. Strickland came back he asked if I was numb and I told him only part of my lip but I wasn’t numb where the wisdom tooth was and I could feel that general area. He then gave me more numbing shots and only gave it a few more minutes to start despite me saying I wasn’t fully numb even after the shots. One of his other assistants told me they would be blindfolding me and I could not put my arms out and was to keep my hands in my pockets at all time. Once the procedure started, and they began drilling my tooth out I felt excruciating pain, I was wincing and making sounds to let them know I was in pain. After I began crying and was visibly shaking, Dr. Strickland asked what was wrong - I told him it hurt badly and I was feeling the drilling. He asked me if I was sure it wasn’t just pressure and I told him no, that it was very painful and I wasn’t fully numb. At that point, he gave me another round of numbing shots and those hurt as well, which proves I wasn’t fully numb to begin with. During the procedure he also had an object to hold my tongue down that was seriously hurting the bottom of mouth, but I couldn’t tell them since I was not allow to signal, I was only wincing at the pain, and because I wasn’t fully numb it felt extremely uncomfortable. This went on the whole procedure, but at that point I was already mid surgery so I was hoping the numbing would take effect but it never did completely. By the time Dr. Strickland was stitching me up I was still crying because I could feel the thread sliding and it hurt badly as well. He stopped what he was doing and said “what’s wrong? This shouldn’t hurt, I’m just stitching you up.” But it did hurt, and they knew that because I was crying. After the procedure ended I still couldn’t stop crying and basically ran out the office. The assistant had given me some instructions and gauze in a bag, that actually had traces of blood and what looked to be stains of makeup, which was weird because when I was given the gauze it was sealed and when I opened it at home I took it out and noticed the stains. 2 days after the procedure I was in serious pain and the ibuprofen and Tylenol + codeine prescribed was not holding me over until the next dose, so I decided to call the office and ask if there was anything else I could take or do. The front desk put Dr. Strickland on the line and he sounded annoyed when I asked. He gave me rushed instructions on how to take the Tylenol and when I asked if he could have his staff email me regarding the new instructions he said “this is very easy, I’ll say it again and you can write it down.” Which I did to my best ability but it was so defeating being in that much pain, and still having the doctor who operated on me treat me that way. My surgery was about a month ago and it is now 2/17 and I have not been able to work, as my recovery has been delayed and I’ve had all kinds of pain and slow healing. Currently dealing with extreme swelling, and pain that radiates to other nearby teeth, with no timeline on when this will get better, and continued medical leave at work. Highly do not recommend Dr. Strickland. I would write in more details but this is all I’m able to write without going over the word limit.

My daughter had four extractions, including one impacted tooth. Everything went smoothly, and Dr. Strickland did a great job explaining the procedure and what to expect. The entire process was handled professionally, and we had a very positive experience.

I had a large molar fail and it needed extraction. I am very happy that I was referred to Dr. Chang. He was the epitome of professional competence. In addition to his technical expertise, his “bedside manner” was genuinely considerate and caring. I hope I don’t require any further oral surgery but if I do, Dr. Chang is my go to dental surgeon.

i had gotten my wisdom teeth out a while ago, but let me just say this is the WORST doctor i have ever encountered. i am allergic to the WHOLE CEPHALOSPORIN FAMILY OF MEDICINE and both me and my mother had told this to him, it was in my chart, and was written in BOLD on my order. after getting my wisdom teeth removed, he pushed amoxicillin through my IV and caused me to go into anaphylaxis. i got serum sickness from this encounter and had to deal with the complications post op. if you have any medicinal allergies i wouldn’t recommend ever going to Dr. Strickland.
