Dr. Whitaker and his caring staff have absolutely won my heart, as well as my deepest respect. Due to a rare bone disease, I unfortunately presented with quite a challenge, and had been turned away by other dental groups. But, Dr. Whitaker showed no hesitation, instead applied his almost 40 yrs of wisdom and experience, along with that awesome personality. He infused new hope into my situation, and has quickly become one of my all-time favorites. I trust him, and I would refer my most loved to his care. Additionally, the staff are PERFECT. They have helped me so many times and gone absolutely over and above several times to make things easier for me as a wheelchair user. And, with 2 locations, how fortunate is North MS to have such an amazing group of dental professionals who really care and routinely show how much!

Literally the best staff I’ve ever dealt with ! Thank yall for much for being kind and helpful. From the front desk, dental assistance and the Dr. !!! This was my second opinion but I wish it was my first, the other dental Dr. on Lamar tore me down for being overweight. Saying “ have you ever had dental work done?” “ can you fit in a dental chair” “how much do you weight” . As I was suffering in pain and this staff made me feel so comfortable and did what needed to be done. STANDING OVATION TO YOU ALLLLLLLL💕💕💕 on day 3 of recovery from all 4 wisdom tooth removal and I’m doing well! Minimum pain

There’s a reason Whitaker Oral Surgery has a one-star reputation. Like others have said, they tell you a fixed cost upfront: half before the surgery, half at the time of service. What they don’t tell you is that they’ll continue billing you after that, regardless of what your insurance actually covers. I requested they follow up with my insurance provider when there were unexpected charges. They never did. Instead, they ignored me and sent the account to collections. When I began making monthly payments, I asked them to contact the agency and call off the dogs—they failed to do so. When I received a collections notice, they told me to ignore it. Now I have a court summons. This office is either disorganized or deliberately predatory. Either way, the result is the same: stress, legal threats, and financial damage for patients who trusted them. Their billing practices are unacceptable, and their lack of follow-through shows a complete disregard for the people they’re supposed to serve. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The staff may know oral surgery, but they clearly don’t understand how to run a business—or treat patients with basic respect.

Yep... Joe said most of it and I am in the same situation, and then some, with my son. They verified with insurance how much would be covered and our out-of-pocket, had a different amount when we showed up for the procedure, then still increased our portion afterwards and billed us for much more. They either do not understand insurance, work with insurance, or don't care. There are other options, you much are better off pursuing those! The worst experience I have ever had from any dental professional. Extremely disappointing!!

Surgery on 2 kids was fine. However, demanded payment up front (that was ok) and when our insurance paid, it took well over a year and a legal hassel to get our money back.
