"I was charged $145 to supply my own X-rays and sit ignored in a dentist chair for over 2 hours." - Read on for the details. I had already seen another great dentist I know that told me I needed a tooth removal and bridge in the upper right side of my mouth but they were not able to do the procedure. I wanted a dentist that could handle it all without having to go to an oral surgeon first and so from a recommendation I made the appointment with the Willow Dental Papillion office and they sent me the new patient paperwork which I filled out and added all the info about a heart failure condition I have. Before my appointment I had all my X-rays that I just did sent to Willow. My appointment was for 3PM. I arrived on-time and was promptly taken back. The nurse asked me a bunch of questions about my heart failure and then said they doctor would be in; in a few minutes. In that time I messaged my cardiologist to ask if there's any issue with my dentist doing the extraction, she replied as long as it's just pulling the tooth it wouldn't be a problem. After a while the nurse came back in and said they wouldn't be able to do the extraction due to my heart condition. I showed her the message from my cardiologist and she said she would pass it on to the doctor and the doctor would be with me shortly. The nurse did come to check on me a few times but left me waiting for over 2 hours! The office was now closing and the doctor finally came in and said all they could do is offer me a referral to an oral surgeon because of the heart failure. I really should have been mad at this point because I felt they knew early on that I wasn't going to be a paying patient and therefore instead of sending me home they just kept me waiting on the doctor. I am not normally a "get mad to get my way" kind of person so I just thanked her and went home. All was good to that point, until.... A couple weeks later I received a bill for $145 dollars! I thought wait, that must be a mistake, right? Well I called and they said "well, the nurse did ask you a bunch of questions". I thought okay, she asked me some questions relating to my heart failure and then let me site for 2+ hours, that doesn't quite qualify as a service you charge for. I told her I wasn't happy and that they: 1. Didn't do ANYTHING at all 2. I supplied the X-rays 3. They let me sit there for over 2 hours And they we're charging $145 for that? She just said she was sorry but "the doctor did talk to me". Again, what?? so now she's telling me I was charged $145 dollars for: 1. Supplying the X-rays 2. The nurse asking a few questions about my heart failure. 3. Waiting for over 2 hours 4. And the doctor telling me they can offer a referral. I explained this is not okay. All the questions we're already answered on the new patient questionnaire and they could have easily told me they probably wouldn't be able to do the extraction and left it to me the choice if I wanted to come in or not. I thought, okay I can see they aren't going to bend on this at all, so the only way I could think to make this a fair offer, I told the billing agent, is "look, I have about $1600 to $1800 in additional work for the double bridge. I'll pay the bill so we can end this and then just take that $145 off the final bill, sound fair?". She put me on hold and went and asked the doctor and came back and said "I'm sorry, they won't do that". I said "Really? so you are telling me that you guys would give up $1600 and lose a customer for life, for $145?". She said she was sorry. I said "Well then, you lose $1600 and a customer and if anyone ever asks me for a referral I would happily tell them my experience with Willow Dental. Goodbye." I want to note that this was paid by insurance so it wasn't going to cost me anything anyway, but it's just the mere fact that I was charged $145 to supply my own X-rays and sit ignored in a dentist chair for over 2 hours. In the end they won showing me they didn't care about me or my time, just the $145. What a sad way to run a business.. Money first, Customer last.

I had my teeth cleaned by Mark at Willow Dental in Papillion. I usually hate having my teeth cleaned but it didn’t hurt and I was constantly informed about what was being done and what would happen next. I had X-rays and they were done so quickly and efficiently! Dr. Dawson came in and was very professional and so good. The whole experience was pleasant and this is coming from someone who usually hates dental visits! Thanks Willow Dental

Dr Dawson is so nice and him and his staff try their best to help me relax during my procedures. That is a big task all itself! More importantly? He does great work.
