Dr. Kate and Willow River are great. Very professional and easy to work with. After a significant break in my dental care, she was quick to develop a plan to get me back on track without any judgement whatsoever. She also patiently answered all my questions, and definitely put me at ease. It also helps that they have a great location with nice views from the exam rooms!

This place is amazing! Not only is everyone who works here very empathetic and has a great chairside manner, they have the skills to make procedures very comfortable. Two notable examples from my visit today: 1, when I recieved the anesthetic injections, I didn't even feel it. I've never experienced that before. Second, when they made the molds for my temporary crown, they got it right the first time! Usually it takes so long. That was very impressive. I was almost reticent to write a review, because I want to be able to book appointments here, but that's not really fair.

I want to be fair to this dentist's office because I do believe they care about their patients, but the way they have gone about my care has really disappointed me. 6 months ago my dental hygienist accidentally knocked out one of my fillings during my cleaning (a filling that was done at Willow River Dental) and the dentist re-filled the cavity right then and there, but of course during today's cleaning another hygienist accidentally knocked it out again. I've had this filling filled four separate times (including today) after accidental knocking it out and due to pain that never went away. I get that accidents happen, but I was so upset today when I felt the hygienist knock the filling out AGAIN. Of course, I have to give credit to the dentists and staff who were able to help me because they do great work, but it is time consuming and frustrating to think you're going in for a routine cleaning and ending up having to get your cavity filled again (for the fourth time), especially as someone with extreme anxiety related to dentist appointments. Thank you Willow River Dental for all of your care over the past year but I will not be returning.

Dr. Katie at Willow River Dental is amazing! She explains everything so clearly and makes you feel completely at ease from the moment you walk in. Her warm, friendly approach, along with her kind and professional team, makes the whole experience comfortable and stress-free. You can really tell they care about their patients. Highly recommend!

I've only ever had positive experiences with Willow River Dental. They are very clear about each process of the procedures as well as when booking appointments, what to expect, and product recommendations. The hygienist printed out a recommendation of a toothbrush for me so I could easily find it at home. At another appointment, another staff member provided two different sample sized toothpastes for me to use at different times of the day. I also had a small cut in my gums and they provided a cup of salt water for me to rinse with. This may seem like a given or expected service if you have a cut, but I have never had a dental office provide that before. I just called earlier today to book additional appointments for myself and my son. I was hoping to get in before my sick time bank rolled over at the end of this month. I was able to get both my son and myself booked. The person on the phone quickly did a benefits check to ensure my insurance would cover the appointment since the one we were trying to schedule was less than 6 months from my previous appointment. I didn't even ask her to do that but was curious if it would be a problem since I am not technically due back until October. Dr. Kate has given me a few fillings. She has done a great job with all of them and I haven't had any issues. I have been seeing her for about 5 years now including when she was a dental student at U-M. I ask a lot of questions and she has been beyond patient and kind in her responses. My young son gets very nervous around doctors (thinks everyone is going to give him a shot) and both her and her team have been very patient with him. A previous time where we visited this office I had not realized I scheduled both of us at the same time. If I had, I definitely would have changed it. But even still, everything worked out perfectly. Her staff was with him in one room and I was in another. They let him pick a prize out of a box and I think there were stickers involved as well. He talked about his experience for many weeks and told me how he goes in one room with Dr. Kate and I go in the other room. I can't recommend Willow River Dental enough. Their location is also super convenient and they validate parking if you are in one of the parking decks for up to 1 hour. I can usually get back to my car before the one hour is up. I have never had to wait long in the reception area and they seem to always be on-time or take me back a few minutes early.
